Your new role
As an RWD Steward Manager in Real-World Evidence (RWE), you will be the anchor point for RWD stewardship and operational governance. You will:
-
Ensure FAIR (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability) principles are adhered to within RWD, ensuring RWD activities comply with data privacy and AI ethics requirements through clear guidance, oversight, and alignment with corporate standards
-
Act as the primary contact for RWD data linkage, supporting teams in ensuring governance, privacy, and compliance requirements are consistently met
-
Strengthen stewardship processes by maintaining documentation standards, improving data access flows, and ensuring clear governance guardrails
-
Support broader RWD stewardship activities by coordinating cross‑functional alignment with legal, procurement, IT, data privacy, and technical stewards to ensure consistent, compliant, and well‑governed RWD practices
-
Build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective RWD use
In addition to stewardship, you will help strengthen both our operational and strategic RWD foundation by:
-
Leading and operating our RWE outsourcing model, ensuring quality support to our stakeholders and smooth vendor collaboration
-
Serving as the DER (Data Ethics Representative) for the RWE area
-
Supporting identification of data needs and gaps across RWE and adjacent R&D teams
-
Contributing to the evaluation of external data sources and vendors together with technical or scientific colleagues
-
Ensuring documentation and governance requirements are met as new RWD projects evolve
-
Helping shape processes that enable responsible, scalable, and future proof use of RWD
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operational ownership, cross‑functional coordination, and governance‑heavy work with real organisational impact.
Your skills and qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should bring a strong foundation in RWD operations, governance, and project coordination. We expect that you have:
-
A master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, information science, data science, data management, or a related field
-
Experience working with RWD or clinical/health data in operational or governance roles
-
Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and documentation processes
-
Experience coordinating with external vendors or operating outsourcing models
-
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
It will be an advantage if you also bring:
-
Familiarity with Data Ethics requirements and responsibilities
-
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or complex healthcare environments
-
Experience with data linkage processes, Danmarks Statistik, registries, or national datasets
Your new department
You will join the RWD Strategy & Enablement team within R&D Real‑World Evidence, responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s RWD is governed, high‑quality, and accessible in a compliant and scalable way.
We are a multidisciplinary group with expertise across data stewardship, governance, data engineering, AI, automation, strategy, privacy, and cross‑functional evidence generation.
We work closely with data scientists, epidemiologists, data engineers, IT, legal, procurement, and external partners. In this role, you strengthen the stewardship backbone of our organisation — enabling colleagues to deliver impactful RWE, based on RWD.
