Principal Clinical Pharmacology Specialist - Cardiometabolic, Søborg, Denmark

Then, this is your moment as we are looking for a Principal Clinical Pharmacology Specialist for Clinical Pharmacology, Cardiometabolic. Together we can create life-changing innovations for patients.

The position

You will be responsible for leading clinical pharmacology programmes and providing the clinical pharmacology strategy for early and late-stage development projects within Cardiometabolic portfolio.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for:

• Providing clinical pharmacology expertise to development project teams, including clinical pharmacology trial design, as well as the interpretation and communication of trial results.
• Driving and coordinating activities within headquarters-based study groups and collaborating with affiliates and external partners across the value chain.
• Leading scientific communication and engaging with a wide range of internal and external global stakeholders, including key opinion leaders.
• Preparing clinical pharmacology summaries for submission dossiers and interacting with Health Authorities to provide input that supports regulatory approvals for new drugs.
• Supporting the development of Clinical Pharmacology capabilities through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications
To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:

• A Master’s degree in Life Sciences, complemented by a PhD or equivalent scientific expertise.
• Expert knowledge within Clinical Pharmacology in the pharma or biotech industry.
• A strong scientific and strategic mindset, with a solid understanding of clinical dosing aspects, including first-in-human dose setting and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic relationships.
• Experience with health authority interactions.
• A proven track record in planning and conducting clinical trials, and working in cross-functional, global, and dynamic environments.
• Business and value chain understanding.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Strong interpersonal and personal competencies, including being a collaborative and trustworthy team player, communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders, managing priorities and deadlines with a quality mindset.
• Demonstrating independence, initiative, and innovation, and maintaining a patient-centric and strategic approach while thriving in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

About the department

You will join the Clinical Pharmacology organisation, which consists of six specialised Clinical Pharmacology departments as an integrated part of our Medical and Translational Sciences organisation. We are an organisation of dedicated and highly engaged colleagues working in a flexible, collaborative and cross-functional setting.

Clinical Pharmacology plays a key role in the development of new drugs at Novo Nordisk. We work as an integrated part of development and research project teams, being responsible for the clinical pharmacology strategy and the scientific input to clinical pharmacology trials. We provide clinical pharmacology expertise to all clinical development phases, Health Authority interactions and regulatory submissions worldwide

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 847,000.00 to 1,245,100.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level,  location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
