Personal Assistant to Senior Vice President for Global Medical Affairs

Then we are seeking you to support our Senior Vice President (SVP) and the management team in Global Medical Affairs (GMA) in the Development EVP area.
The position
As a Personal Assistant to the SVP, you will offer independent administrative support, coordinate cross-organisational activities, and serve as an ambassador for the SVP area and the SVPs responsibilities. You will further spearhead the cross-functional collaboration and planning of the administrative team supporting the various business areas in GMA.
Your main tasks will amongst other be:
- Manage administration and operations for the SVP, i.e., providing holistic and integrated day-to-day support, proactively solving tasks & challenges
- Manage a complex, dynamic calendar with a proactive approach to short- and long-term planning, based on clear prioritization and structure
- In close collaboration with the executive office, ensure smooth execution of Leadership Team meetings and continuous support to keep the team aligned and focused on key priorities
You are always on top of the SVP’s objectives, goals, deadlines, and deliverables. You proactively follow through behind the scenes to reach the goals. Moreover, you can grasp the big picture yet also track operational details. You gain and maintain an overview by continuously communicating and asking questions to resolve open issues. You fill the gaps, and you can quickly re-prioritise tasks when needed.
You work in a strong, seamless collaboration and alignment with the executive team around the SVP (EA, HR Business Partner, Communication Partner and Finance Partner).
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
- Administrative education or similar
- 5+ years of related experience in an international environment
- Experience with budgeting and purchasing
- Excellent English skills, both orally and written
On a personal level, you are service-oriented, organized and excellent at time management, with clear systems to manage a variety of tasks and commitments; also, when priorities are shifting quickly, and flexibility is key. This comes with a natural built-in curiosity and principle of continuous improvement of the processes you work with. You have a sense of urgency, attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Colleagues experience you as an assertive, diplomatic character, who possesses good judgment with high integrity and professionalism. You are curious about new digital tools and how they can enable efficiency in the workplace. You enjoy being that special "cultural and social glue" who helps initiate team activities and fosters a team spirit.
About the department
The position as PA is based in Global Medical Affairs which is part of Development located in Søborg, near Copenhagen. Global Medical Affairs is focused on building and executing medical strategies across the product portfolio. Aiming to advance through scientific exchange and dialogue with the external medical community as patients, HCPs, payers and the industry at large. Building a bridge between stakeholders and delivering medical and patient insights across the Novo Nordisk value chain. Collaborating closely with the commercial organization and colleague in operations to establish NN’s presence in the markets and plan for product launches. GMA employs about 450 highly skilled people globally and represents more than 46 nationalities and work in a truly international environment.
