The position

As an Outsourcing Manager/ Senior Outsourcing Manager you will be responsible for driving the clinical outsourcing process in close collaboration with our Clinical Drug Development project teams, Procurement, Legal and external suppliers. You will act as a subject matter expert for clinical outsourcing of specific services, where your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Managing supplier relationships as well as supplier related risks
  • Safeguarding internal and external outsourcing requirements
  • Integrating and updating the clinical outsourcing strategy in the development projects.
  • Involvement in qualification of suppliers
  • Take part in the management and development of the global clinical outsourcing setup

 

You will also be expected to take part in the management of strategically important supplier partnerships including driving supplier performance evaluation, supplier oversight councils as well as take responsibility for supplier escalation processes.

 

Your main office will be at our site located in Søborg, Denmark, but some travel activity might be expected.

 

 

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, the most important is that you have experience with supplier partnerships; you have a strong track record of supplier interaction from request to signed contract. Furthermore, we would prefer if you have the following:

 

  • Minimum of five years’ experience from sourcing or procurement
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical, Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) industry or something similar.
  • Knowledge of the clinical development disciplines
  • Proven track record of handling complex tasks with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Project Management

 

You are used to collaborating with international and diverse professional groups, driven by a strong interest in the business perspective and have a commercial, analytical, and pragmatic mind-set. About the department

Clinical Outsourcing Management supports Novo Nordisk’s Clinical Drug Development projects in driving and executing the clinical contracting process from request for information to signed contract, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. We are responsible for contracting and supplier management within the clinical area and for securing a strong clinical sourcing infrastructure.

 

You will be part of one of our teams which consist of 11 dedicated colleagues where you will experience a high degree of individual responsibility in an engaging and professional environment. We are currently expanding our team to take on new tasks as well as strengthening our current areas of expertise. 

 

We are a part of Clinical Drug Development, which are the area responsible for managing development worldwide from early clinical trials to product introduction. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations, and business ethics.
