The position

As medical specialist, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Novo Nordisk organisation. Although based in the Copenhagen Area, the job is globally oriented and with close interaction with colleagues in regional offices as well as external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, treating physicians and therapeutic experts. We expect you to understand how to establish and maintain these professional relationships. You will drive clinical trial life cycle from Medical & Science including designing trials, trial conduct and evaluate and present results.

 

What is more, you will give oral presentations internally, externally and co-author publications. The organisation is dynamic and therefore your responsibilities will change in accordance with the needs of the organisation and to support your further professional development. You will be part of a sub-team of highly skilled and dedicated medical doctors, who is responsible for kidney-focused drug development in Novo Nordisk.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • University degree as a Medical Doctor and have clinical practice experience.
  • Ideally board certification in nephrology.
  • Documented research experience, preferably within the field of nephrology, such as a PhD and/or clinical development experience including (co)-investigator in clinical trials or relevant experience with clinical drug development from the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry.
  • Successful candidates are dedicated team players who can analyse and communicate data which can be used to design trials, ensure medically sound regulatory interactions as well as to drive learnings one step further into implementation and simple execution. The candidate should have a patient-centric mind-set and actively express a proactive attitude despite challenges

 

Additionally, on a personal level you have:

  • Excellent communication skills (proficiency in written and spoken English).
  • Strong coordination/planning and collaborative capabilities with many different stakeholders with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.
  • Analytical and strategic skills, creativity, curiosity, flexibility, commitment, and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to thrive in a setting with a high level of complexity and have solid problem-solving capabilities.

 

You should have a flair for building and using both internal and external network(s) and share learnings actively within the project and department.

The job requires a high degree of independence and team spirit as many decisions have business impact. Therefore, focus as well as flexibility is important due to several tasks will be coming from different stakeholders and expectation management is key to success.

 

About the department

Medical & Science, OSCD and Outcomes is part of Global Development located in Søborg, Copenhagen, Denmark and are driving our expanding portfolio within other serious chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, chronic kidney disease and Alzheimer’s Disease and executing large outcomes trials.

 

We are medically responsible for global clinical development programmes and our responsibilities include planning and execution of clinical trials (phase 1-4) and non-interventional studies, medical and scientific support to health authority interactions, publications, presentations and more.
