The position

As Medical Specialist in one of our Obesity and Cardiometabolic Health teams, you get the opportunity to:

  • Be part of early to late stage clinical development and the critical discussions/decisions that will pave the way for the clinical development program for different compounds with diverse mechanism of action
  • Participate and drive the planning and design of clinical trials
  • Provide medical oversight during trial conduct
  • Interpret data including benefit/risk assessment, document results, and drive/support regulatory submissions
  • Give oral presentations internally and externally and co-author publications

You will work in close collaboration with many other skill areas such as trial management, biostatistics, global patient safety, medical writing, nonclinical development and regulatory affairs. We also interact with colleagues in regional offices as well as external stakeholders including regulatory authorities, Health Care Professionals and therapeutic experts.

 

Qualifications

To succeed in his role, you will need:

  • A medical degree and clinical research experience, ideally through a PhD or similar
  • A curiosity towards understanding metabolic pathways in Obesity and Diabetes
  • Experience with clinical development, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, is an advantage
  • Natural flair for building and using both internal and external network(s)
  • Ability to share learnings actively within the project and department
  • Fluency in written and oral English

About the department

In Medical & Science, Obesity & Cardiometabolic Health, we are responsible for the planning and execution of global clinical trials and for medical and scientific support to health authority interactions. We are instrumental in providing documentation and interpretation of clinical data in relation to New Drug Applications (NDAs) and variation applications, periodic safety updates on marketed drugs/drugs in clinical development, market access, and external scientific communication. The department is based in a project-centric organisation, and internally we work in cross-functional teams. Our key external stakeholders are the scientific community and medical experts, regulatory authorities, and market access institutions.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 931,700 DKK to 1,369,700 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

The salary package may include shortterm and/or longterm incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
