The position

As a Medical Content Specialist in Clinical Meeting Management, your main focus is to lead the process from agenda design to evaluation, while internalising learnings and building on experiences. We function as a Centre of Excellence in meetings management and have been at the forefront of the evolution from classic training meetings to virtual training journeys across our key project areas. This is a newly established role, for which reason continuous improvement and innovative solution is to be expected across all aspects of the work.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading agenda design and content development in relation to clinical meetings.
  • Collaboration enabler (‘Servant-leadership’): you will act as a servant-leader and facilitator with a shared responsibility to deliver agendas to our clinical meetings and create related training resources required for site staff participating in our clinical trials. The goal is to create trustworthy, clear, and credible scientific content, perfectly balanced between necessary scientific detail and efficient, motivating delivery, while also creating related learning journeys related to our clinical trials.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: you will work closely with a broad range of internal stakeholders, supporting a great team of knowledgeable, purpose-driven colleagues in a collaborative approach to produce impactful, scientific meetings for our many external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining a perspective on new technological solutions.
  • Coordination of key external speakers as well as internal stakeholders such as Medical Illustrators to deliver world class medical and scientific content.

To be considered for this position, we expect you to:

  • hold a degree, preferably within science but it could also be within project management, medical communication or any other relevant field.
  • have a basic knowledge of and keen interest in life/health science.
  • have a previous medical writing experience.
  • be a specialist in creating content within a clear regulatory framework and are able to facilitate creative collaborations.
  • Be fluent in English.

As a person, your drive and structured approach allow you to initiate new activities without disregarding the importance of following up on all the things you already set in motion – and you are eager to share what you know while learning even more here.

You are a proactive partner and have a collaborative mindset towards your stakeholders. Within this you never compromise on quality but are always ready to adapt to concerns and align differences. As you will be bridging cultural, professional, and geographical distances together with your colleagues, we expect your communication and people skills to parallel your profound cultural understanding.

About the department

In Clinical Meeting Management, we are responsible for the development, planning and execution of the external meetings and trainings that constitute the important milestones in a clinical trial. When a new drug, scientific protocols or trial results are presented to our external stakeholders around the world, it is us who coordinate the meeting, prepare the scientific material, and ensure deliveries that are in compliance with the Novo Nordisk brand and the regulatory framework we work in.

We play a major role in driving the clinical trials that bring new medicine and innovative uses of known drugs to the people whose lives may be changed by it. The more than 70 clinical meetings we conduct every year, ensure that our trials are conducted following the highest scientific and ethical standards, and we are proud to make our collaborators feel welcome, well-informed, and supported.

The first of your future colleagues have been in place since March, and we will grow to eight by the end of this year. We share a trustful tone, victories, and challenges alike, and we enjoy each other’s company.
