The position

We are recruiting for a maternity cover as Medical Association Partnerships Manager with key responsibility to lead the cross-functional partnership strategy and relationships with medical associations within Obesity. Through our partnerships, we strive to improve patients’ lives through different initiatives across advocacy, medical education, research initiatives as well as care optimisation. You can look forward to joining the team at an exciting time in which we aim to explore different types of partnerships to bring about even bigger impact. Due to the nature of the job, you will interact regularly with multiple stakeholders at HQ and affiliate level as well as our external partners.  This role is a Subject Matter Expert role with no people management responsibility.

 

As our new Medical Association Partnerships Manager, you will be the main responsible for:

  • Leading the cross-functional partnership strategy and relationships with medical associations across Obesity
  • Driving the strategy process for partnerships within the therapeutic area, managing interactions with the internal and external senior leadership teams as well as planning and execution of leadership meetings
  • Brokering new and innovative partnerships based on joint interests between Novo Nordisk, medical associations as well as other potential external partners
  • Following all applicable compliance requirements for potential engagements (with support from our Sr. Global Compliance Manager)
  • Establishing the needed contracts as the foundation of our engagement as well as reporting of engagements

You will be collaborating closely with your colleagues in the team as well as across the Global Medical Affairs area and with other cross-functional teams across therapy areas, such as Commercial Units, Public Affairs and Research.  

 

The position is a maternity cover role, with a planned start date of 1 May and a duration of one year.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is motivated to make a difference for patients, further our partnering strategy and approach and who has a strong interest in understanding the respective therapy area(s) to ensure stakeholder buy-in.

Apart from that, you will need to have:

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field combined with 5+ years of strong project management experience in cross-functional projects
  • Experience with scoping and driving partnerships with external collaborators from a relevant setting
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry and thus, a good understanding of the value chain would be beneficial
  • Fluency in oral and written English

 

On a personal level you have a strategic mindset and an interest in seeing the big picture while never losing the eye for detail. Furthermore, you are eager to collaborate with different stakeholders and have a service-minded approach while being an excellent and convincing communicator.

You are excited by the possibility of working with a lot of independence, while taking the responsibility to set direction within the team and your therapy area, align across functions and keep an overview of the state of progress and prioritize accordingly. Finally, you bring a can-do attitude, a collaborative mindset and a healthy sense of humour to your work.
