The Position
As a Lead Data Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the implementation of converting and ingesting historical clinical trial data for AI and analytical purposes.
  • Driving data engineering best practices, standards, and governance processes.
  • Leading the team in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and execution.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines to support analytics, AI, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Staying current with emerging technologies and recommending innovations to enhance our data capabilities.

 

Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should bring:

  • A Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Life Sciences.
  • Extensive knowledge working with Databricks and Azure.
  • Experience working in the Clinical data domain and familiarity with standards like CDISC SDTM, ADaM, MedDRA, etc.
  • Experience in creating and leading high-performance teams.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle in the life sciences industry.
  • Knowledge of scientific objectives for the development of diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular health medicines is a plus.
