The role sits within the Novo Nordisk Development, Digital Transformation office.

 

Role Scope

 

The Head of Product Management at Novo Nordisk Development will play a crucial role in steering the direction of digital products designed to support drug development processes. This position encompasses setting all aspects of product management and product ownership, specifically tailored to enhance Novo Nordisk's drug development portfolio from its inception through to commercialization. The successful candidate will be central in integrating business owners, Novo Nordisk employees, healthcare practitioners in our partner clinics, and their patients into the digital transformation journey. This pivotal role will redefine how we conceive, develop, and deploy digital solutions, ensuring they align seamlessly with our business objectives.

 

Responsibilities and Themes

 

Strategic Leadership and Transformation:

· Lead the transformation from a project to a product mindset, ensuring strategic collaboration between product management, design, and technology.

· Maintain a balance between user-centric digital solutions and the overarching business strategy, considering value, usability, feasibility, and business viability.

· Champion a holistic product-centric culture that advocates for sustainable and balanced digital product development.

 

User-Centric Product Development:

· Advocate for user-centricity within a balanced framework, ensuring product solutions resonate with user needs and align with technical capabilities and business objectives.

· Lead continuous discovery efforts informed by multidisciplinary approaches, integrating insights from design, technology, and business strategy.

 

Innovation and Excellence in Product Management:

· Leverage a deep understanding of the product landscape to navigate the interplay between design, technology, and business strategy.

· Promote hypothesis testing and experimentation, ensuring product features meet simplicity, user satisfaction, and strategic business needs.

 

Technology and Data-Driven Decision Making:

· Utilize AI, automation, and an understanding of mobile and multimodal product systems to improve product utility and data management.

· Pioneer a data-driven approach to product management, leveraging continuous metrics, pattern recognition, and feedback loops.

 

Building Capabilities and Communities:

· Develop and maintain a product management playbook, sharing knowledge and best practices.

· Cultivate a community of product leaders, fostering an environment of collaboration, learning, and innovation.

· Collaborate closely with the Head of Design to ensure global user centricity and a unified approach to digital product development.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

Digital Product Management: Proven expertise in leading digital product management efforts, with a strong portfolio of successful digital transformation initiatives in complex environments. Having successfully lead digital transformation at a large enterprise company.

 

Healthcare Sector Experience: Previous roles within the healthcare industry involving close interaction with digital products supporting healthcare processes, including but not limited to drug development, clinical trials, and patient management

 

Technological Proficiency: A strong understanding of relevant technologies in digital product management, including AI, automation, and data-driven product metrics.

 

Personal Skills and Traits:

 

Leadership and Transformation: Exceptional leadership qualities, with the innate ability to inspire and drive change across multidisciplinary teams, fostering the adoption of a product-centric mindset.

 

Communication: Outstanding communication skills, capable of clearly conveying digital product strategies and the importance of digital transformation to a wide array of stakeholders, ensuring alignment and engagement.

 

Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Strong strategic vision combined with the ability to conduct hypothesis testing, experimentation, and utilize a data-driven approach for decision-making.

 

Collaboration and Community Building: A natural collaborator and community builder, with a dedication to promoting a culture of learning, innovation, and user-centricity within product management and design teams.
