The Position

As Global Strategy Lead in the Strategy & Insights team, you will be part of shaping the strategic direction of the global obesity business in Novo Nordisk. Your responsibilty will be to take a leading and driving role in the development of the Therapy Area Strategy for Obesity, that will guide key decisions across our value chain.

Your main task will include:

  • Supporting development of the Obesity Therapy Area Strategy, and drive/lead specific strategy workstreams
  • Ensure an impactful commercial portfolio strategy and involvement in portfolio related market research & analysis
  • Secure implementation and socialization of strategies across the organisation
  • Set clear KPIs for success and drive regular reporting to Senior Management
  • Ad-hoc participation in Commercial assessments

Furthermore, candidate will play a key role in anchoring above strategies across the organisation, securing implementation and following up on progress against plans and aspirations. Working closely together with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation, in HQ and in Operations will be your daily task.



  • Master’s degree within marketing or natural science
  • Relevant experience from management consulting and/or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience within commercial project management and strategy development
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data, market research understanding and insights generation
  • Experience working with and bringing many cross-functional stakeholders along
  • Experience in working with senior stakeholders and Senior management communication
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High value attributed to high-quality deliverables

As a person, you have a sharp strategic mind, an eye for the big picture but attention to detail. You bring people together to shape strategies and solutions and have excellent communication skills. You feel comfortable engaging with stakeholders at different levels and from all parts of an organisation. About the Department

You will be joining the Strategy & Insights team, part of the Strategy & Projects CVP area in the Obesity Unit (HQ) and report to the VP of the team. The Obesity Strategy & Insights team has the responsibility of delivering critical insights and strategies for the entire Obesity therapy area. This includes developing and driving Novo Nordisk Obesity Therapy’s short and long-term strategies and business plans, monitoring industry trends, generating best-in-class insights, and providing strategic guidance to senior management and Operations.
