The position

 

The launch preparations for our new obesity drug are running full speed, and is expected to be a crucial part of Novo Nordisk realising the ambitions to reach 30 million patients by 2030 living with obesity.

 

As a Global Project Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring premium launch readiness for the new obesity drug in the international operations (IO) market. Your key responsibilities will include:

 

- Leading the developmentof HCP (Healthcare Professional) materials as part of the Core Promotional Package (CPP) for IO launches of obesity drug.

- Managing vendors effectively by providing clear briefs and guidance to ensure high-quality launch deliverables.

- Leading the new obesity drug launch for Canada, acting as the primary point-of-contact for the affiliate, driving momentum, facilitating clear and timely decision-making, and ensuring strong cross-functional collaboration as well as strategic sparring to the affiliate for a successful Q1 2027 launch in weight management.

- Collaborating closely with track leads within the team and broader cross-functional teams.

- Ensuring consistency of HCP messaging with the overall launch strategy through collaboration with key launch tracks.

- Communicating the new oesity drug opportunity and portfolio messaging while ensuring seamless expansion of HCP materials to cover the T2D expansion with the drug in IO.

 

 

Qualifications

 

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

 

  • Master’s degree in business or a science related to the product area.
  • Minimum 6 years’ pharmaceutical industry experience, with specific experience in product launch and/or marketing/brand strategy (short- and long-term).
  • Proven experience in global project management in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, including working with international teams and major markets.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to set a clear vision and execute plans across R&D, marketing, access, affiliates and other functions.
  • Experience developing and managing promotional materials for healthcare professionals and familiarity with portfolio messaging and expansion strategies.
  • Strong vendor management skills, including developing clear briefs and ensuring quality deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to drive timely, strategic decision-making across geographies.
  • Knowledge or experience in weight management and/or diabetes therapeutic areas is an advantage.
  • Experience from an affiliate or region and the end-to-end value chain is a plus.

The ideal person combines a strategic, analytical mindset with a strong degree of structure and organisational awareness to support effective decision-making. They must be able to navigate and comply with relevant Novo Nordisk policies and SOPs in all project work. High energy, curiosity and ambition for both personal growth and the brand are essential, alongside excellent verbal presentation skills and a strong results orientation.

 

 

About the department

 

You will be joining a fast paced, energetic, and fun department – the Global Strategic Marketing for Obesity situated in Søborg, Denmark. This position is anchored in the The CagriSema & Cagrilintide Marketing Team is a team of five people in Søborg, one in the US and 3 in Bangalore.
