Your new role
As Global Project Lead, you'll be at the forefront of maximising the value of our insulin portfolio—driving strategic priorities that span both daily and weekly insulins. You'll lead cross-functional projects that shape portfolio strategy, lifecycle management, and investment decisions with significant commercial impact.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and co-driving commercial and cross-functional projects for the insulin portfolio, including, but not limited to, portfolio strategy and loss of exclusivity (LoE) strategies
- Leading strategic priorities for the Daily Insulin and/or Weekly Insulin Global Product Teams (GPTs) and representing the project team in key organisational initiatives
- Leading/supporting external collaborations for the insulin portfolio, in line with the strategic direction set by the GPTs
- Developing comprehensive business cases and strategic analyses to guide executive decision-making on investment focus and opportunity prioritisation
- Overseeing end-to-end strategic project planning and execution, from defining project charters to monitoring progress and adjusting plans to optimise outcomes
- Managing project budgets and timelines while identifying and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Facilitating collaboration with stakeholders across the entire value chain—from Research & Development to Commercial Operations—to ensure alignment and successful project delivery
- Implementing innovative project management methodologies and leveraging emerging technologies to streamline processes and enhance stakeholder communication
Your new department
In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness.
Within Product & Portfolio Strategy, you'll be part of the Semaglutide & Insulins Project team in the Diabetes& area, that sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. We work closely with stakeholders across the entire Novo Nordisk value chain – from Research & Development to International Operations – to ensure our most valuable assets reach their full potential. Your work will directly influence strategic decision-making at the executive level and shape the future direction of our diabetes portfolio.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a strategic thinker and proven project leader who thrives in complex, global environments. You'll bring with you:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field (Master's degree preferred) paired with a significant project management experience (5+ years) with demonstrated senior leadership involvement and cross-functional collaboration
- Proven experience in development and execution of lifecycle management (LCM) strategies within the pharmaceutical industry
- Deep cross-functional business understanding of the pharmaceutical value chain, from development through commercialisation
- Very strong project leadership and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to drive impact across organisational and national borders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent written and oral communication abilities
- A dynamic, results-oriented personality with strong drive to deliver progress and contribute to high-performance teams
- Fluency in written and spoken English
