The position
As a Global Pricing Lead, Rare Disease, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the pricing and contracting strategies for Novo Nordisk's RareD portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving pricing strategy, guidance, and forecast development within assigned therapy areas.
- Leading operational pricing to maximise business opportunities, including PBC and launch sequencing.
- Generating pricing insights to guide strategies, pricing excellence and inform decision-making on launch strategies and price business cases.
- Providing pricing input for Global Project Teams, Core Commercialisation Teams, Global Brand Teams, and Senior and Executive Management.
- Driving pricing excellence in affiliates by supporting and challenging them on pricing assumptions for budget submissions and strategic planning processes.
- Monitoring and analysing pricing landscapes in strategic markets, including international reference pricing (IRP), tenders, and loss of exclusivity dynamics.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align pricing strategies with commercial aspirations, market access strategies, and competitive environments.
- Developing and delivering pricing insights through reports, tools, dashboards, and newsletters.
- Managing ad-hoc brand/market-focused projects and providing recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- M.Sc. or MBA in economics, business administration, finance or similar.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in pharma pricing, market access, business analytics, finance or consultancy.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with a clear commercial focus.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects, meet timelines and deliver results.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to simplify complex information.
- Strong stakeholder management, interpersonal skills and business acumen with strategic/operational thinking.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
About the department
The Global RareD (Rare Diseases) Launch & In-Market Access & Pricing team are responsible for setting the global access & pricing direction for brands in Novo Nordisk’s RareD portfolio from around a year before first launch. We work in disease areas such as Rare Bleeding Disorders, Rare Endocrine Disorders, and Haemoglobinopathies. As such, the team provides strategic input to the payer value and pricing strategies as well as ensuring strong access & pricing excellence across our key affiliates.
