The position
As a Global Medical Manager - Cardiomyopathy (Global Medical Affairs) you will be part of a team of highly motivated and talented Medical Doctors with clinical, research, and/or pharmaceutical experience, who are passionate about drug development, medical and scientific education, and communication. We offer the opportunity for you to use your medical experience, your analytical skills, and your creativity towards new innovative treatments that will make a difference for people living with cardiomyopathy, in particular ATTR-CM, and heart failure. You will provide timely, accurate, and credible scientific and medical input for a variety of projects. Your tasks will involve:

  • Close collaboration and effective communication with various cross-functional stakeholders including colleagues from Commercial, Market Access, Marketing, Clinical Development and other functional areas in HQ as well as globally involving regions and affiliates
  • Engage in dialogue with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in different settings with a focus on medical and scientific communication to help optimize both product development and treatment of patients
  • Provide medical input to clinical trial development including investigator selection and at later stages you will drive the scientific dialogue based on the results from clinical trials 
  • Develop publications based on RWE studies and clinical trial results which require the ability to interact with external authors, statisticians, medical writers, and other stakeholders
  • Advise and drive the development of internal and external medical guidance and educational materials
  • Provide medical guidance to various teams that are actively involved in developing Novo Nordisk's global marketing and market access strategies, promotional materials, and other legal and medical aspects.
  • Present data both internally and externally and participate in international conferences and scientific meetings.  


Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Medical doctor with clinical medicine and research experience 
  • A specialist diploma in cardiology, internal medicine, or related medical fields that address cardiovascular diseases, particularly cardiomyopathy, ATTR-CM and/or heart failure, as well as a cardiovascular Ph.D. degree, is considered a strong plus
  • Experience within a Medical Affairs function with previous pharmaceutical industry experience is considered a plus but it is not mandatory
  • A proven track record of evidence generation and publication activities (eg. RWE studies, involvement in clinical trials, etc.) 
  • Strong stakeholder management experience (e.g., senior leaders, governance/steering committees, academia, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate confidently in fluent English (both written and spoken)

 

On a personal level, you should possess strong presentation and communication skills, exhibit a results-driven approach and be a great team player. It is essential that you excel in environments characterized by high complexity with multiple stakeholders and demonstrate robust problem-solving abilities coupled with a positive attitude.

 

About the department
The Cardiomyopathy team is part of the cardiovascular disease (CVD) area in Global Medical Affairs, located just outside Copenhagen in Søborg, Denmark.  In Global Medical Affairs we are responsible for building and delivering consistent scientific communication across all phases of clinical trials.
