The position 

As our Global Market Access Policy Director, you will be responsible for spearheading engagement around market access policy, legislation and systemic structures, encompassing the full portfolio and pipeline reach. You will take on a pivotal role in actively engaging in dialogues with industry associations, policy-makers, and other stakeholders in the market access policy eco-system.  

 

Your responsibilities will be equally internally and externally oriented. The internal responsibilities include monitoring of global market access policy developments and translation of such intelligence to insights and strategic recommendations for the organisation. You will deliver briefings to management teams across the value chain, and ensure awareness and buy-in to your recommendations. Externally, you will be the Novo Nordisk representative in a number of key industry association groups, at conferences and at various stakeholder meetings.  

 

Via these responsibilities you will become a thought-leader within Novo Nordisk and within the wider industry and work to shape a future of increased patient access to innovative medicines.  

 

Qualifications  

  • 15+ years of experience within market access strategy and execution across global, regional and affiliate levels. 

  • Experience from the pharmaceutical/health care industries is a key requirement. 

  • Robust functional market access background, preferably with experiences in policy engagement or similar  

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to distil complexity into simple messages 

  • Strong stakeholder engagement mindset 

 

About the Department  

Market Access Excellence & Engagement is a centre-of-excellence department in the global matrix market access & pricing function. The team is internally responsible for leading market access and pricing capability building, functional development & community. Externally, the team leads strategy and content for market access and pricing policy, stakeholder engagement and future payer partnerships.
