Global Market Access Lead Obesity

Category:  Corporate Affairs
Location:

Søborg, Capital Region of Denmark, DK

Shape the market access strategy for tomorrow's therapies – and help ensure life-changing treatments reach the patients who need them most. If you thrive at the intersection of strategy, science and stakeholder influence, this is your opportunity to make a global impact from the earliest stages of asset development.

Your new role
As Global Market Access Lead, you will drive asset evaluation and access planning for early-stage assets, becoming the market access voice in pipeline decisions that shape Novo Nordisk's future portfolio. You'll combine strategic thinking, health economics expertise and cross-functional collaboration to translate scientific innovation into patient access at scale.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Asset strategy & planning: Initiate and develop the target access profile, market access strategy and payer value story for assigned early assets, building deep expertise that benefits the wider market access team
  • Pipeline influence: Act as the market access voice for pipeline planning, representing the function and developing materials for key decision-making fora across Novo Nordisk
  • Opportunity & landscape evaluation: Assess size of opportunity, market value drivers and the evolving policy, competitive and reimbursement landscape
  • HTA (Health Technology Appraisal) & reimbursement strategy: Lead early strategic thinking on HTA and reimbursement, mapping submission requirements and market access barriers across key markets
  • Cross-functional alignment: Partner with medical affairs, development, commercial and other functions on early access and additional data requirements
  • Matrix leadership: Informally lead the market access matrix team, coordinating contributions across HQ, regions and affiliates

Expect global reach with international travel of up to 5%.

Your new department
In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential through successful commercial strategies and competitive launches downstream.

Within Product & Portfolio Strategy, the Global Market Access team plays a pivotal role in shaping how our pipeline reaches patients worldwide. You'll join a community of strategic thinkers who collaborate closely with senior leadership, product CCTs/GPTs, regions and key affiliates – and engage externally with payers, healthcare professionals and government officials to ensure our innovations translate into real-world access.

Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a strategic, collaborative leader who brings a strong commercial mindset together with deep health economics expertise. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • A Master's degree in economics, health economics or a related discipline
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in value strategy, value communication or health economics and outcomes research, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry or consultancy
  • Solid understanding of healthcare policy, HTA (Health Technology Appraisal) and reimbursement systems across key markets, paired with strong product and therapeutic area awareness
  • Proven ability to set direction, drive performance and influence senior stakeholders in complex matrix environments – including Senior Leadership level decision-making fora
  • Strong personal leadership, stakeholder management and the ability to communicate with impact across internal teams and external payers, HCPs (Healthcare Professionals) and government officials
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
