Global Forecasting Lead/Associate Director

Are you excited by understanding complex commercial market dynamics within CVD, MASH, Alzheimer’s Disease and CKD as well as assessing the impact of strategic decisions and initiatives? The position
You will play a pivotal role in leading the long term forecasting efforts within Cardiovascular & Emerging Therapies Area (CETA), to significantly impact critical business decisions that will shape the company's future.
The role offers broad insights into Novo Nordisk’s worldwide business, active participation in cross-functional projects and international collaboration with teams across different functions and geographies, from a key individual contributor perspective.
Your key tasks will include:
- Global responsible for Long Term Strategic Forecast within CETA therapeutic areas
- Drive global sales forecast for late-stage development projects including synthesizing multiple data sources and partnership with cross functional stakeholders to build high quality forecast and scenario development
- Lead analysis of market data and critical business information from various sources to shape insights and recommendations to enable strategic decisions within CETA.
- Strong communication of key insights and analyses to relevant stakeholders across the organisation.
- Contribute to the department development by challenging processes and guiding and developing colleagues
- Contribute with innovative forecasting methodologies and approaches.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications:
- Master´s degree in Natural Sciences, Engineering, Business or Economics.
- Min. 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry and /or consultancy for this industry from an analytical commercial role e.g., within strategic forecasting, market analysis, commercial excellence, business development or finance
- Robust numerical and analytical problem-solving skills
- Experience with strategic forecast from a long term perspective at global level is a must
- Experience with epidemiology-based patient forecast will be an advantage but not a requirement.
- High proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. Fluency in both written and spoken English.
- Experience with AI forecasting is an advantage but not a requirement
On a personal level, it is important that you can lead a cross-functional forecasting process with multiple stakeholders, work both independently and in teams both as a driver and contributor, and have solid communication and influencing skill.
About the Department
The CETA Insights & Forecasting Department is a part of Cardiovascular and Emerging Therapy Areas (CETA) Commercial Unit, covering CVD, MASH, Alzheimer’s Disease and CKD therapy areas. We’re a team of highly professional experts with a commercial/business/consulting background and different nationalities. We’re responsible for driving two critical functions; Generate key Customer Insights to bring patient- and HCP-level insights into core decisions for strategic brands, patient access and R&D and the other function, where we analyse market dynamics, identify trends/events and forecast market development across the CETA portfolio.
The overall purpose is to drive insightful analyses and recommendations that enable fact-based decision making in senior management and among key stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.
