The position
As Global Competitive Intelligence Associate Director, you will play an active role in shaping the strategies for Novo Nordisk’s projects and future commercial brands within MASH & liver disease. Your role will be to provide high quality news monitoring and insights generation related to the competitive landscape and competitor strategies – and to activate these insights to elevate and challenge projects and products.  

Some of your responsibilities will include:


•    Deliver high-quality and data-driven monitoring and insights regarding the competitive landscape within MASH & liver disease. 
•    Drive strong competitive insights to enhance decision-making at project/product and portfolio level.
•    Lead assessments of key intelligence topics of strategic interest at project or portfolio level in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.  
•    Plan and activate key insights from scientific congresses among internal stakeholders.
•    Contribute to the development of the Insights function, providing guidance and mentorship of colleagues, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

 

Qualifications 
•    To hold a PhD in Medicine or Life/Pharmaceutical Sciences will be preferred; alternatively, a Master’s degree in Life Science.
•    7+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
•    Have a proven track record in communicating scientific, medical, and commercial information to diverse audiences, including senior management.
•    Possess in-depth understanding of drug development as well as a solid understanding of regulatory processes, commercial strategy and pharmaceutical value chains.
•    Have strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret complex data. Experience with AI is an advantage but not a requirement.

 

As a person, you should feel comfortable with an expert role – you think independently, proactively set the agenda and drive cross-functional collaboration and communication to impact decision-making. You are good at managing stakeholders across functions and are very collaborative as a person.

 

About the Department 
The Competitive Intelligence Team is responsible for monitoring, assessing and activating intelligence on competitors within core strategic areas in CETA (CV & Emerging Therapy Areas).  Our focus is cardiovascular diseases (CVD), Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH), Alzheimer’s disease (AD), and Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). 

CETA Competitive Intelligence is part of the newly established CETA Insights function, encompassing Competitive Intelligence and Customer Insights. We engage with stakeholders across the value chain and drive insights to enhance decision-making at project and portfolio level.
