As Global Associate Market Access Director Diabetes, you will lead global access launch readiness for key diabetes assets. You will shape the access strategy, build the payer value story and create practical tools that help regions and affiliates secure sustainable patient access. As payer, pricing and policy dynamics shift, you will turn complexity into clear recommendations that move launches forward – helping more people living with diabetes get access to the treatment they need.
What you’ll bring
You are a strategic access professional who can bring clarity to complex payer environments and turn it into practical guidance for stakeholders. You will bring:
- A Master’s degree in public health, economics, health economics or a related discipline
- Minimum six years’ experience in market access, value strategy, pricing, or health economics and outcomes research, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry or consultancy.
- Solid understanding of healthcare policy, HTA and reimbursement systems across key markets, paired with strong product and therapeutic area awareness
- Proven ability to set direction, drive performance and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, ability to communicate with impact and influence senior stakeholders in complex matrix environments.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
What you’ll do
You will own the access strategy for your assigned diabetes assets, working in an area with evolving evidence, limited precedent and fast-moving policy developments. Your key responsibilities will include:
Access strategy and launch readiness
- Develop and drive the global access strategy, including HTA, reimbursement, payer value story, launch readiness roadmap and key market prioritisation.
- Anticipate emerging payer trends, portfolio trade-offs and pricing-policy spill-over, and translate them into clear options and recommendations.
Cross-functional leadership
- Lead the cross-functional access team across Market Access, HEOR, Pricing and Payer Evidence, ensuring clear roles, coordinated execution and timely decisions across governance forums.
Market engagement and insight
- Work with strategic markets and regions to pressure-test strategy, identify access barriers and submission requirements, and agree how global tools are adapted locally.
- Support affiliates with payer engagement, negotiation preparation and tailored value arguments, and run trainings and workshops on the payer value story and objection handling.
- Generate insights through payer research, advisory boards and engagement with healthcare professionals, payers and government officials.
Who you’ll work with
You will join Global Market Access within Product & Portfolio Strategy, where colleagues connect commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across therapy areas to help guide the Novo portfolio and strengthen competitiveness.
As matrix lead, you will bring together experts in Market Access, HEOR, Pricing and Payer Evidence. You will work closely with Product Marketing and Commercial Strategy teams, product teams and task forces, other Global Market Access teams, and regions and key affiliates. You will present to and seek endorsement from senior management, and share better practice across the organisation.
Your scope is global, with international travel of up to 5%.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 931,700.00 to 1,369,700.00, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
