Your new role

As a Finance Partner in R&D Finance, you will be responsible for financial management and value creation within a distinct R&D Line of Business area, project portfolio pool and/or tangible or intangible investment pool. You will help create a strong link between strategy and resource allocation, drive clear prioritization and support the optimization of how resources are spent.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with key stakeholders, mainly at senior management level, to support strategic discussions with financial insights and drive the financial agenda.
  • Ensuring efficient budget planning, financial reporting and controlling for your area of responsibility, including raising red flags where needed.
  • Creating transparency and financial insights that support decision-making, prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Providing input to and challenging business cases, projects and investment decisions, while participating in senior forums such as management teams, steering groups and project governance forums.
  • Driving and contributing to departmental and cross-functional projects that optimize processes, simplify ways of working and support close collaboration across R&D Finance, Corporate Finance and relevant functional expert areas.

Furthermore, you will prepare ad hoc analyses for stakeholders in R&D and across Corporate Finance, actively seek sparring with functional experts and contribute to continuous improvements in deliverables, tools and ways of working. Your new department

R&D Finance is part of the Novo Nordisk R&D organization and is responsible for financial management across R&D, including support to the global R&D organization. The department partners closely with senior stakeholders, project teams and functional experts to ensure strong financial insights, sound resource allocation and value creation across R&D.

Your skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should bring a solid finance background, strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate complex financial matters into clear and concise recommendations. You should also be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and contributing actively to collaboration across teams.

We expect you to have:

  • A master’s degree in economics, finance, business administration or similar, combined with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, preferably within finance partnering, business controlling and/or financial controlling.
  • Experience with financial management, budget planning and reporting, with a solid understanding of accounting and finance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence discussions and decisions among senior stakeholders.
  • Project management experience, a proactive and self-driven working style, and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, SAP or similar tools is an advantage.

As an individual, you are self-motivated, collaborative and able to work independently. You are pleasantly persistent, a strong team player and comfortable taking ownership of your area while proactively sharing insights and feedback with colleagues and stakeholders.

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 570,200.00 to 838,100.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
