Experienced Drug Developer - Medical & Science Obesity & Cardiometabolic Health

Are you a medical doctor and do you have solid experience in clinical drug development and the aspiration to be part of leading late-stage clinical development projects dedicated to changing the lives of patients with cardiometabolic diseases?

 

If yes, this opportunity could be for you! We are seeking passionate drug developers with extensive Phase 3a/b experience for our Medical & Science department, which focuses on cardiometabolic diseases.

 

The position

You will be part of spearheading projects which aim to bring innovative treatment to patients within obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular and kidney disease.

You will be working with medical and scientific colleagues with clinical, research, and pharmaceutical industry experiences in the global and regional/local settings. Together with the line of business leadership, you will drive the scientific project development.

 

Your main responsibilities will be focused on:

  • Leading late-stage clinical development project(s) and be accountable for all Medical & Science deliverables
  • Overseeing activities for clinical development within several cardiometabolic diseases and complications hereof
  • Chairing the Clinical Development Team and/or Sub-teams which are responsible for delivering the Clinical Development Plan in line with strategic direction
  • Ensuring careful evaluation and optimisation of clinical development options and trial designs
  • Upholding high scientific quality and innovation in all Medical & Science deliverables while fostering strong collaboration and communication with key stakeholders across the value chain from early Research to Commercial
  • Promoting a culture of teamwork and constructive dialogue within the Medical & Science department and across the broader Medical & Translational Science area

 

Qualifications

 

To be a competitive candidate, you should have:

  • Medical Doctor degree
  • PhD or equivalent research experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in clinical drug development, including advanced, complex clinical trial designs and with specific focus on Phase 3a/3b development
  • Preferably experience with submission and related activities
  • Experience with being informal lead of junior and senior medical specialists
  • Considerable projects management skills
  • The ability to engage with external experts during trial design development and/or during data interpretation
  • Experience with presenting, advocating and challenging decisions at internal and external governance boards
  • An inclusive and collaborative mindset

In Medical & Science Obesity & Cardiometabolic Health area, our purpose is to improve the life of patients living with cardiometabolic diseases. We do that by driving the expansion of our portfolio within serious chronic diseases, such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular and kidney diseases.

 

We focus on executing large late-stage development programmes including outcome trials, which enable us to gather the most accurate and meaningful data possible. By doing so, we can deliver best-in-class scientific innovation to our projects.

Salary

For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from DKK 1.034.800 to DKK 1,593.600, corresponding to Job Level 10. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
