The position can be located at either our Søborg, Denmark office or our King’s Cross, London, UK office.

 

Your new role

As an Epidemiologist in Real-World Evidence, you'll apply your deep epidemiological knowledge and project management experience to generate actionable insights from diverse data sources including Novo Nordisk observational studies, external partnerships, in-licensed databases of electronic medical records to health insurance claims and cohort studies.­­­ Working alongside data scientists and stakeholders across the organisation, you'll help bridge the gap between real-world data and meaningful evidence that advances patient care.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Providing epidemiological expertise to a broad range of stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring evidence generation meets scientific and regulatory standards.
  • Performing and guiding literature reviews to inform key strategic documents.
  • Leveraging AI and GenAI tools to optimise workflows and enhance productivity in evidence generation.
  • Contributing excellent project management skills to coordinate complex deliverables and support your colleagues.
  • Extracting and communicating learnings from regulatory interactions involving real-world evidence.
  • Presenting findings clearly and convincingly through oral presentations, reports, PowerPoint presentations, and peer-reviewed scientific papers to diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Coordinating and overseeing outsourced RWD activities and studies, working closely with vendors, contract research organisations, commercial partners, and academic institutions.

 

Your role will be highly collaborative, requiring you to work closely with numerous stakeholders across the ecosystem. You'll engage with internal teams on project deliveries, communicate epidemiological considerations and insights to stakeholders throughout the organisation, and maintain relationships with contract research organisations, commercial partners, and academic institutions involved in real-world data analysis.

 

Your new department

In Research & Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product launch and beyond. We help shape clinical programs, provide medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to global standards, regulations, and business ethics.

 

The Real-World Evidence department sits within Medical & Translational Science in Research & Development located in Søborg, Denmark. Our focus is on uncovering insights and causal relationships from real-world data through fit-for-purpose statistical methods tailored to individual evidence gaps. We generate evidence to advance the clinical pipeline, support drug development projects, and strengthen launched products. You'll join a highly professional, engaged team of epidemiologists and data scientists from various backgrounds working collaboratively across Denmark and the UK.

 

Your skills and qualifications

We are looking for an ambitious and innovative epidemiologist who thrives in a dynamic, globally oriented environment.

 

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

  • An MSc or similar degree with training in Epidemiology.
  • Proven project management experience with the ability to coordinate complex deliverables.
  • Solid hands-on experience conducting literature reviews in an epidemiological context.
  • Experience exploring GenAI for productivity enhancement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to achieve results through collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • A proactive, independent working style with the ability to take ownership and responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and genuine interest in cooperating with stakeholders across the globe.

 

Nice to have:

  • Background in pharmacoepidemiology from the pharmaceutical industry, contract research organisations, or consulting.
  • Experience collaborating with regulatory authorities.
