The Position
As the Director of Digital Product Incubation & -Ownership, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and enabling multiple product teams to deliver high-quality digital health solutions. The role is based in the commercially focused part of Digital, Data & IT, within Novo Nordisk. You will be responsible for:
- Leading product incubation and -ownership, with a strong focus on patient/care giver unmet needs, focused on commercial part of Novo Nordisk value chain
- Build strategic partnerships with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk Commercial Product Strategy, Commercial Operations and Global Development to ensure strategic fit and for the digital solutions brought to market, and other functional areas to align digital product strategies with business priorities.
- Manage and guide the digital product portfolio in close collaboration with Commercial LoB and internal/external developer teams.
- Coaching product teams in applying modern product discovery techniques (JTBD, Design Thinking, Lean Startup) to identify and validate new digital solutions.
- Developing capability-building programs to enhance product ownership skills and foster a user-centric mindset.
- Through your team, overseeing product lifecycle management in close collaboration with commercial ‘business owners’, ensuring continued product evolution and -success with end-users.
- Driving measurable outcomes in product delivery, focusing on value creation, patient engagement, and business impact.
Qualifications
We expect the ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working in a larger company undergoing transformation towards a product-centric digital model, with demonstrated success in navigating organizational change while maintaining product delivery excellence.
- Proven track record of driving individual product successes within corporate environments, effectively navigating established processes and organizational resistance to implement pilots, experiments, strategic bets, or lighthouse initiatives that delivered measurable business outcomes and demonstrated pathways for broader transformation.
- Proven expertise in coaching product teams through the full product lifecycle, particularly in digital health products.
- Strong background in agile frameworks and their application in digital health contexts.
- Experience working with regulatory requirements in digital health (e.g., SamD, HealthSoftware, HIPAA, GDPR, GxP).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Product Management, Business or Digital Health. MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in digital product ownership, product management, or similar role
- 2+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing product managers/owners or other members of product teams.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

About the Department
You will join the ‘Commercial Digital Data & IT’ unit, which is a part of the larger Digital, Data & IT unit in Novo Nordisk with +4000 employees at global level. The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and local presence is expected. Commercial DD&IT is committed to rewire, digitalize and scale digital solutions and platforms in the commercial part of the Novo Nordisk value chain. Part of this aspiration is also to drive the incubation and development of digital product, which ultimately augment and enhance the customer experience and -outcome.
