The position
As Director, Obesity Strategy you have the responsibility for the obesity strategy development and will facilitate the cross-functional strategy process ensuring an ambitious and impactful obesity therapy area strategy. You will work across the full value chain and apply your enterprise-wide mindset when outlining the strategic choices required to sustain leadership in obesity. 

This job requires a broad value-chain engagement and understanding to effectively engage with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation ensuring inclusion and in strategy development and commitment to implement and follow-through on the strategic plans. 

 

Some of your responsibilities will be to:
•    Lead the Therapy Area Strategy (TAS), developing and reviewing the portfolio strategy to cater for latest competitive insights, future patient and HCP segmentations, and external eco-system developments ensuring we deliver on our mission to people with obesity
•    Lead the development of the long-term obesity portfolio strategy by outlining and recommending strategic options to relevant cross-functional boards. 
•    Orchestrate Obesity Therapy Area Development, ensuring clear roadmap with internal and external triggers and milestones.

 

As a commercial leader in Obesity Strategy & Projects you are expected to role model our values and foster a culture where we as teams and individuals can deliver and grow. You communicate openly and transparently about our choices and collaborate effectively with across therapy areas through an enterprise mindset to our business. 

 

Qualifications 
•    Minimum10 years of pharmaceutical experience or management consulting in the life science sector.
•    Deep understanding and experience from leading large and complex global strategy projects.
•    Deep value chain understanding across R&D, Product Supply and commercial/operations.
•    Proven track record in effective stakeholder management at all levels in the organisation
•    Master’s degree in Business and/or Life Science.

 

As a person, you have strong leadership skills with ability to create results through others and the ability to collaborate and succeed in a large matrix organisation. You have an analytical & problem-solving mindset, and a sense of pragmatism. Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) will be required to succeed in this role.

The Obesity Strategy & Project provides strategic leadership for current and future products in the
obesity therapy areas worldwide, accountable for commercial project and portfolio strategies for thetherapy area with one of the biggest growth potential in the life science industry.
