Then you could be the one we are looking for. Join us as Director, Exploratory Biomarkers & Omics and help translate complex omics data into actionable strategies that accelerate R&D and improve patient outcomes.

 

Your new role

This role combines line management with scientific leadership and cross-functional coordination. You will partner closely with research units, clinical development, data science, regulatory and external collaborators to ensure quality, impact, and ethical compliance in all exploratory biomarker and omics activities.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of scientific and operational experts.
  • Enhance talent development, curiosity, and scientific excellence.
  • Define and execute the departmental strategy for HBS and omics.
  • Establish frameworks to ensure exploratory data supports decision-making.
  • Lead development of scalable, high-quality biomarker and omics processes.
  • Maintain oversight of timelines, deliverables, and ethical compliance.
  • Guide and communicate interpretation of complex datasets and enable prospective integration of biomarkers and omics into trials.
  • Drive optimisation of processes, data use, and collaboration models.
  • Promote learning loops to enhance future biomarker/omics work.

 

Your new department

Exploratory Biomarkers & Omics (EBO) collaborates across the R&D value chain to generate and interpret high-value data from human biosamples, informing scientific strategy and decision-making globally.

 

Your skills & qualifications

We're seeking candidates who fulfil the following prerequisites:

  • You hold a PhD, MD, or equivalent in relevant scientific field.
  • You have minimum 8 years of relevant experience in pharma/biotech.
  • You have deep expertise in omics, biomarkers, and biological data interpretation.
  • You have a strong understanding of clinical development and regulatory frameworks.
  • You demonstrated leadership in interdisciplinary scientific environments.
  • You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
