Your new role 

As Director, Data Analytics & Operations, you will play a pivotal role in leading data analytics functions, ensuring alignment with therapeutic area evidence plans and supporting value propositions throughout the product lifecycle globally.  

Your main accountabilities will be: 

 

  • Lead the Data Analytics & Operations team to develop and execute of best-in-class data analytics strategies, plans, and outputs aligned with business and medical priorities. 

  • Drive the creation and implementation of statistical analysis plans to support evidence generation across therapeutic areas. 

  • Ensure the generation, interpretation, and communication of scientific data to support the appropriate use of Novo Nordisk products. 

  • Collaborate globally with Real-World Evidence scientists, Data Scientists, and stakeholders across International Operations (IO), USO, Regions, and Affiliates to enable timely and high-quality evidence generation. 

  • Provide strategic leadership, subject-matter expertise, and quality assurance to ensure the scientific integrity and impact of evidence outputs. 

  • Manage project and line budgets, ensuring evidence investments are prioritised and aligned with strategic goals. 

  • Represent Global Medical Affairs internally and externally, fostering collaboration and alignment across the organisation. 

  • Coach, guide, and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, performance, and collaboration. 

 

 

 

Your new department 

Since establishing Global Medical Affairs Evidence & Partnerships (E&P), we have accelerated the deployment of real-world evidence and investigator-sponsored studies to amplify our scientific narratives and drive changes in clinical practice. The Data Analytics & Operations team, based at our global headquarters, consolidates data science and technical expertise into one function, enabling fractional support for evidence development across therapeutic areas. With a fast-paced and collaborative atmosphere, our team plays a pivotal role in igniting evidence generation and connecting stakeholders across HQ, IO, USO, Regions, and Affiliates. 

 

 

 

 

 

Your skills & qualifications 

We are searching for a strategic, proactive, and results‑driven Medical Affairs leader with strong integrity, ethical judgment, and credibility at senior level, who meet the following criteria:  

 

  • PhD and/or Master’s degree in a health‑related field (e.g. Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, Clinical Epidemiology, Biostatistics or similar) 

  •  Fluency in spoken and written English; proficiency in an additional major language preferred  

  • International study or work experience outside the native country is an advantage  

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare, payer, and/or pharmaceutical industry 

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience with proven people‑management skills 

  • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and planning skills within a pharmaceutical environment 

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and communicate effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders 

  • Experience working in an international, matrix‑based organisation 

  • Excellent networking, presentation, and collaboration skills
