Are you an experienced Director with a strong track record in global clinical outsourcing and people leadership? Do you excel at translating development strategy into robust supplier partnerships that enable high‑quality clinical trial delivery? We are looking for a Director to join Clinical Partnerships in the Global Trial Portfolio area at Novo Nordisk.

Your new role
As Director in Clinical Partnerships you will have global responsibility for implementing the outsourcing strategy, and operational execution of clinical services supporting trial execution. You will lead and develop a high‑performing team while working closely with senior stakeholders across Clinical  Operations, Development, Quality, Procurement, and Legal to ensure compliant, efficient, and future‑ready clinical outsourcing.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and develop a team of experienced outsourcing professionals responsible for planning, negotiating, and managing supplier contracts to support efficient trial start-up and execution.
  • Build strong, trusted partnerships with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk’s global clinical organisation, ensuring early engagement and timely access to the right external clinical suppliers.
  • Support team growth through coaching, feedback, and a strong focus on performance development and capability building.
  • Own RfX processes with external clinical suppliers, including governance of work orders and change orders.

 

Your new department

Clinical Partnerships is part of Global Trial Portfolio and plays a critical role in enabling global clinical trial delivery. The department partners closely with ClinicalOperations, Project Management, Medical & Science, R&D Quality, Corporate Procurement, Legal, and external suppliers to ensure strong sourcing strategies, robust governance, and high‑quality execution. As Director, you will lead a team, with a global scope and a strong cross‑functional footprint.

Your skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, you are likely to bring:

  • A master’s degree in science, finance, IT, or a related field, combined with a structured and data‑driven leadership approach
  • Extensive experience from the pharmaceutical industry or CRO environment, with strong exposure to clinical outsourcing and supplier management
  • Proven people leadership experience, including leading managers, specialists, and professionals in an international matrix organisation
  • Solid understanding of clinical trial operations, quality requirements (e.g. GCP), and regulated sourcing environments
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to operate at senior organisational levels

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from DKK 940,800 to DKK 1,448,700, corresponding to Job Level 10. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
