Your new role

As the Director, Centralized Data Review CKAD, RD & Transformation, you will establish and lead a new, high‑impact team focused on next‑generation clinical data review and analytics across rare disease and CKAD portfolios. This hybrid role combines people leadership—managing a team of ~10—with ownership of a major digital transformation program within R&D. You will drive strategic initiatives, build technical and reporting capabilities, and ensure delivery of robust, data‑driven insights that strengthen clinical quality, risk management and decision‑making across Development.

Some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Build and lead the Centralized Data Review team for Rare Disease and CKAD, setting targets, developing competencies and ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery.
  • Lead large cross‑functional transformation programs (e.g., IQRMA), owning project delivery and translating complex clinical data topics into clear priorities for stakeholders.
  • Establish a Centre of Excellence for data review reports, dashboards and visualisations, evaluating and implementing emerging technologies (including AI/ML) to enhance analytics.
  • Ensure optimal resource allocation and operational performance by coordinating staffing, budgets and vendor engagement, and by monitoring deliverables and costs.
  • Champion continuous improvement and quality by defining standards, sharing best practices, supporting audits, and promoting trustworthiness and compliance in clinical data handling.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Economics or a related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in clinical development with deep understanding of drug development and GxP (including GCP) quality requirements.
  • Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience managing cross‑functional and international teams, with demonstrable experience leading large transformation programs and complex projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of clinical data systems and structures (CTMS, EDC, CDMS, data warehouses), reporting/visualisation methods and IT integrations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and analytical skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.

You are an inspiring and pragmatic leader who can translate complex clinical data concepts into clear priorities for diverse stakeholders. You balance strategic vision with hands‑on execution, motivate teams through change, and foster psychological safety and collaboration. Analytical, curious and resilient, you drive clarity in ambiguity and deliver measurable impact in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments.

Your new department

You will join Centralized Data Review within the Digital Data Infrastructure & Processes (DDIP) and Data Management ecosystem—an organisation that partners across Data Science, Clinical Drug Development, Global Medical Affairs, Safety, Regulatory and Commercial Planning. The department provides centralised analytics, reporting and governance for clinical data review, working closely with ART teams, vendors/CROs, academic partners and health authority inspectors to deliver trusted insights that accelerate development and safeguard data integrity.
