About the department
At Novo Nordisk we have an increased strategic focus on Business Development. Commercial Business Development & Alliance Management enables late stage and commercial deal making for Novo Nordisk and drive world-class business development with the ambition to position Novo Nordisk as the Partner of Choice. The department is responsible for end-to-end business development within digital health and commercialisation as well as products beyond clinical proof of concept through bespoke deal making (M&A, licensing, collaborations etc.). Furthermore, the department drives coordination and governance of business development projects across Novo Nordisk.

 

The job
As our new Director, Alliance & Integration Management, you will have four key responsibilities:
•    Independently lead and manage planning and execution of the integration of business development opportunities (licenses, asset acquisitions and M&A).
•    Independently lead and manage planning and execution of alliance management of commercial collaborations and partnerships
•    Proactively manage and nurture existing business partnerships 
•    Establish best practice for late stage and commercial alliance management and integration and ensure networking and knowledge transfer externally and internally in Novo Nordisk.

You will report directly to the Corporate Vice President of Commercial Business Development & Alliance Management and actively contribute to shared deliverables.

 

Qualifications
•    Demonstrated track record of managing collaborations / alliances and/or integration of M&A transactions
•    Leadership experience is preferred
•    Strong networking and interpersonal skills
•    Ability to motivate others, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects or in a rapidly evolving environment
•    Firm understanding of multicultural impact on business relationships including experience in working in an international context and environment
•    Ability to challenge current perceptions and drive change
•    Strong communication and presentation skills
•    Experience working in a global matrix organization
