Help shape how digital delivers value in Study Operations!

We are looking for two Digital Leads to help define direction, steer priorities, and ensure digital change delivers real business outcomes within the domains of Study Operations, Quality & Risk or Data Acquisition & Connectivity in Clinical Development.

This role sits at the intersection of business intent, portfolio governance, and value realisation for how studies are planned, executed, monitored, and supported digitally. You will not run delivery teams or manage backlogs. Instead, you will work with study operations leaders, product teams, and digital partners to ensure that digital investments are well-framed, prioritised, coherent, and outcome-driven.

As Digital Lead, you set and steward the business intent, prioritisation, and businessfit decisions for the digital portfolio in your domain, from idea to realised value, while delivery and operations are executed by dedicated product and digital teams.

Your new role

As a Digital Lead you will:

  • Define and maintain clear business intent for digital enablement in close collaboration with the relevant Business Process Owners.

  • Direct the digital portfolio by structuring demand, running a single intake, and supporting prioritisation and trade-offs.

  • Ensure value realisation, including run-readiness, adoption focus, and outcome visibility.

  • Shape coherence across solutions, ensuring standards, dependencies, and legacy considerations are handled deliberately.

  • Work closely with product and digital teams.

What you will not do:

  • Own technical architecture or engineering decisions

  • Manage delivery teams or sprint execution

  • Act as a formal GxP signatory or QA owner

Your new department

Global Trial Portfolio (GTP) Core Systems shapes priorities and steers digital direction for Study Operations, Quality & Risk and Data Acquisition & Connectivity worldwide. The function is part of the broader GTP organisation, with the role reporting into the Head of Digital Leads, ensuring strong alignment across domains and consistent governance at a global level.

This is a chance to shape how digital supports the execution of clinical studies end-to-end, influence priorities across a complex, high-impact domain, and help ensure digital change in one of the domains delivers measurable, sustainable value.

Your skills & qualifications

To succeed in this role, you bring a strong mix of strategic thinking, stakeholder leadership, and digital experience.

We are looking for candidates with these qualifications:  :

  • A Master’s degree or equivalent

  • Typically 4+ years of experience within clinical operations

  • Proven ability to translate business needs into clear intent and prioritised portfolio choices

  • Strong stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to align diverse perspectives and navigate tradeoffs

  • Sound judgement and a high sense of accountability within defined guardrails and governance
