Department Manager R&D Quality Operational Excellence

About the position
As our new Department Manager, you will be responsible for:
- People and resource management by driving direction and strategy for the department. You will maintain a balanced focus on the short- and long-term goals and drive the team's ability to effectively translate business priorities into operational plans. Additionally, you will ensure the individual development of the team members through regular feedback, performance evaluations, and other developmental activities.
- Guiding towards Process Excellence in R&D and enhancing Quality Management Reviews. This role involves driving continuous improvement and fostering innovation for effective and efficient quality processes.
- Streamlining processes for integration activities of acquisitions within Development organization to ensure successful integration process for R&D Quality.
- Driving cultural transformation through effective change management to position the Quality function as an active partner for Line of Business stakeholders.
- Leading the department in line with Novo Nordisk Way.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Master’s degree in a natural scientific field or similar.
- Managerial experience (min. 3 years,)
- Minimum 10 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) and solid knowledge of GxP and guidelines within drug development
- Experience of LEAN and process improvement
- Experience with collaboration across professional and regional borders
- Extensive experience with communication and presentations.

You bring excellent delegation and coaching skills as well as solid experience in communication with and management of stakeholders. You also bring an agile mindset and the ability and willingness to adjust quickly to new situations in a continuously developing environment. Additionally, you have a strong quality, simplicity, and Lean mindset as well as a great overview and analytical capabilities. Acting as a role model for NN Way behaviours and display an enterprise mindset focusing on what is best for NN.
About the department
RDQ Operational Excellence is a department within R&D Quality Operations, committed to the continuous improvement and simplification of the Quality Management System (QMS). Our team consists of 10 highly skilled individuals with different roles and responsibilities, specializing in enhancing GxP processes. We focus on strengthening Process Management activities, overseeing Quality Management Review (QMR), and fulfilling essential roles such as Quality Partner and Process QA Delegate. Additionally, we manage integration activities to ensure that quality processes across the organization are efficient and effective. We collaborate closely with stakeholders across the research and development organizations.
