Data Privacy & Business Ethics Specialist

Then we have the right opportunity for you within our R&D Compliance CoE department.

 

About the department

R&D Compliance CoE is a new department consisting of 5 dedicated business ethics and data privacy compliance specialists with focus on anchoring, further developing and sustaining a strong business ethics mindset across R&D.

The area is responsible for operationalising internal and external business ethics and data privacy requirements and provide advice to the global R&D organisation on how to mitigate compliance risks. In addition we have focus on building-up, enhancing & securing compliance competencies and drive compliance initiatives across the global R&D organisation.

 

The Job

As a R&D Data Privacy and Business Ethics specialist you will ensure anchoring of the Novo Nordisk data privacy and business ethics strategy across R&D. You will be responsible for advising the organisation on how to identify, assess, and mitigate personal data protection risks and business ethics risks. You will independently and in collaboration with the team drive data privacy compliance initiatives and be responsible for coordination and aligned implementation across the business areas. You will be part of developing guidance and training material, and ensure communication, training, and knowledge sharing activities across R&D globally.

 

You will take part in review of internal and external data privacy requirements and conduct of impact assessment. You will work on exciting and complex projects with high business impact, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders globally, and interact with senior management in different business functions. You will work closely with Novo Nordisk Business Ethics Compliance Office, the Data Protection Office, and Global legal.

 

The job is based in Denmark. However, travel for meetings e.g. in affiliates and congresses are part of the job.

 

Qualifications

You hold a relevant master’s degree (e.g. within law, commercial law, IT, or science) and have minimum 8 years of experience, preferably within data privacy compliance/business ethics and/or digital/IT projects. It will be an advantage if experience from working within a R&D setting or you have a strong insight into R&D from either a pharmaceutical company, the public sector or a NGO.

You are able to work independently and adapt quickly to new situations in a constantly changing environment. You have strong stakeholder management skills, and focus on meeting targets and deliverables. You can promote cross-organisational collaboration, and have excellent and proven project and change management skills.

You are good at communicating complex issues in an easy-to-understand manner and are fluent in English. You have an international mind-set, cultural awareness and a desire to work in a global environment.
