Data Leads (Data Project Directors) come and join our new exciting function in Novo Nordisk!
Are you a driven soul that would like to make a difference through data? Would you be interested in working in a new dynamic set up and helping patients on the other side? Then this might be one of the roles for you!

Data Science is now setting up a new function: Data Orchestration (DO). The overall objective of DO is to optimize how clinical data flows within and between projects in Development as well as facilitate optimal data flow across the Novo Nordisk (NN) value chain (from RED to Development to Commercial and back to RED).

Data Orchestration will be key in ensuring timing, orchestration and deliverables on all aspects of clinical data analysis and insights. It will drive project leadership of Data Science functions into all Global Project Teams as well as oversee optimal data architecture and data engineering within the clinical data area. The DO organisation will be key for delivering on Data Science commitments and enable both the Development strategic aspirations as well as on the overall NN strategy.

We are now looking for three new Data Project Directors – so called Data Leads (DL).

The roles are divided into three different areas of responsibilities
The first area
The DL will be overall project leader of NN efforts in creating an interoperable and fully accessible data infrastructure for all clinical data across the portfolio. This will enable NN to rapidly interrogate all available data from clinical trials, RWD etc. across all indications.

The second area
The DL will be responsible for setting up and driving the clinical biomarker data analytical efforts in our biomarker programs across key indications.

The third area
The DL will spearhead our new set-up in the projects, working on our new Target Data Profile framework and be the key project leader in one or more Global Project Teams representing Data Science.

The ideal candidates
We are establishing a strong team with diverse data capabilities to compensate each other. Therefore, we are looking for profiles that have experience in biomarker programs, coordinating and orchestrating data flows in project teams

The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures. You will also be tech-savvy and you hold a master’s and potentially a PhD degree from a relevant field. To be able to take on any of these roles you need to have experience from a similar set-up in another big pharma company. Strong project leadership skills with at least 5 years’ experience. For one of the roles, you need to have a deep understanding on how to set up – and ideally govern - a complex, end-to-end data infrastructure. For one of the other roles, deep insights in leading product development teams from a data point of view will be key.
Furthermore, stakeholder management and navigating in complex organisations is something we value highly. We see that you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and that you are fluent in written and spoken English.

As a person we are looking for someone who is highly driven, analytic, proactive and who has a profile that can connect the dots and as well as challenge the status-quo.
