The position

 

As an Associate Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading the assets deliverables within the CVD Strategic Projects team. The person will be asset lead from commercial perspective, indirectly leading matrix teams to drive strategic projects and land recommendations with governance 

 

 

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

• Leading strong preparation of the CVD asset and market readiness in collaboration with value chain and operations. 

 

• Developing and executing the asset strategy, including lifecycle management, additional indications, and route of administration optimisation.

 

• Driving patient identification and diagnostic strategy for input to Phase 3 trial design.

 

• Ensuring unmet need rationale, competitive Target Product Profile (TPP), input to commercial valuation and forecast, and contributions to PS and device strategy.

 

• Leading market readiness with therapeutic area development strategy for CVD assets, including patient identification, diagnosis, and monitoring 

 

• Developing and executing strong tactics to support the market readiness strategy at global level while working with top-10 strategic markets.

 

• Identifying and mitigating key project risks in collaboration with other functions.

 

• Engaging with regions, key markets, and global stakeholders to ensure robust input and alignment to strategy.

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

• Master's degree in science required (PhD preferred) within pharma, biotech or life sciences; candidates with a business degree will be considered if they have proven experience in pharmaceutical asset valuation and strategy.

 

• Minimum 5 years’ pharmaceutical industry experience, including early commercial asset development, new product planning, or minimum 2–3 years in investment banking or management consulting focused on asset valuation.

 

• Demonstrated experience with R&D, commercial functions, pharmaceutical products or medical devices; preferably with international exposure in a large organization.

 

• Strong track record in asset valuation, indication expansion, launch market prioritization, access/pricing and market development.

 

• Proven stakeholder management, ability to set a vision and execute plans, and capability to lead in a matrix environment.

 

• Experience in cardiovascular (CVD) or metabolic indications highly preferred.

 

• Strategic, analytical and results-oriented mindset with high capacity to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality outcomes on time.

 

• Scientific background or experience working with R&D; high level of innovation and out of the box thinking.

 

• Fluent in written and spoken English; strong influencing, negotiation and leadership skills.

 

 

 

About the department

 

CVD Strategic Projects team is responsible for leading all post Phase II CVD assets in Novo Nordisk from commercial perspective until launch action plan initiation. Team is also responsible for leading high priority strategic projects which span across diabetes, obesity & CVD. Team is known for its high innovation, out of box thinking while having fun at work. Teamis diverse with multiple nationalities and mix of both scientific and business backgrounds.
