Your new role
As a Clinical Project Lead, you will take on a senior role with extensive responsibilities, where you will assume accountability for the end-to-end planning, execution and completion of phase 1 clinical trials. You will lead the global cross functional study teams driving the clinical trials successfully and collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensure a close and well-functioning collaboration with Project Directors, Global Trial Managers and Clinical Trial Administrators in Clinical Trial Operations.
- Chair of the trial squad (a group of relevant stakeholders outside of Clinical Operations contributing to trial deliverables).
- Ensure that key project deliverables are met on time at a high quality and within budget by using your extensive project leadership skills, as well as your solid knowledge and experience of conducting clinical trials
- Foster cross-functional engagement and cultivate a high-performing, collaborative environment that accelerates delivery.
- Be a strong contributor towards translating our early clinical strategies and aspirations into operational actions and excellence.
- Be accountable for trial start-up activities from protocol development, Clinical Trial Application (CTA) submission package, vendor management with great exposure to the organization and cross-functional stakeholders
To succeed in the role, you need in-depth knowledge about clinical trial methodology as well as extensive clinical project management experience. Effective communication and leadership skills are essential, while impacting the project strategy as well as execution and improvement of core clinical processes within phase 1.
Your new department
You will be part of the Global Trial Portfolio (GTP) area driving operational excellence and innovation in the execution of our clinical trial portfolio across all clinical development phases and therapy areas within the Novo Nordisk pipeline. Taking offset in a position of strength, we have a clear ambition of being industry leading across all operational aspects of our clinical trial portfolio by focusing on timely, cost-efficient, best-in-class clinical trial planning and execution in collaboration with our many internal and external stakeholders.
Your new role is based in our Diabetes, Phase 1 and Device project area, where you will be part of a newly established team dedicated to working with phase 1 clinical activities across all therapeutic areas in Novo Nordisk portfolio.
Your skills and qualifications
You will be a great asset to our team because you have:
- A MSc in Natural Science and at least five years of relevant experience, or a BSc in Natural Science or equivalent with at least seven years of relevant experience.
- Strong clinical project management experience and the ability to impact the execution and improvement of core clinical processes.
- Extensive experience in all operational aspects of planning, conducting and finalization of clinical trials
- Demonstrate strong project management expertise and strong communication and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority, lead through collaboration, and drive alignment and engagement across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Professional proficiency in English.
