Are you passionate about building digital products that drive measurable business impact? Do you want to deliver on an ambitious digital and AI strategy to transform how clinical content is created, managed and reused across the drug development life cycle - working closely with technical delivery teams, subject matter experts and senior leaders? Join Digital Development Products in AI & Digital Innovation and help deliver on some of our most significant digital transformation opportunities!

Your new role

As an outcome-focused Associate Product Director you will orchestrate delivery of digital products by translating strategic business objectives into product roadmaps and technical backlogs that balance business value with long-term technical scalability. You will champion product adoption and leverage continuous customer feedback to refine and advance user-centric solutions.

You will join a small, ambitious leadership team in the Study Specification & Content Automation area, taking responsibility for the content automation tooling with a large cross functional footprint and report to the Director of the Digital Product Suite for Study Specification and Content Automation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Co-create, maintain and execute the product vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Own the product backlog: Write, prioritise and refine features, acceptance criteria and dependencies while balancing short- and long-term goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to negotiate priorities, align expectations, coordinate dependencies and ensure seamless product delivery and continuous improvement
  • Define and monitor OKRs/KPIs to drive product performance and reliability
  • Communicate roadmap, status, risks and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders in clear, executive-level language
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability, empowering the team to respond effectively to changing priorities
  • Lead operational roll-out, end-user support and communications

Your new department

The Study Specifications and Content Automation area is one of six departments within Digital Development Products in R&D AI and Digital Innovation. Our vision is to unlock industry leading data and AI-driven operational excellence across Novo Nordisk R&D by shaping and delivering on two of our most prioritised strategic digital transformation opportunities:

  • The OpenStudyBuilder Product – An internally developed open-sourced digital solution with broad industry recognition that aims to transform the way the pharma industry defines new clinical trials through digitalisation, standardisation and meta-data driven automation.
  • Intelligent Content Automation – For every clinical trial Novo Nordisk creates and manages thousands of documents across the value chain. Transforming the way that we generate and manage content based on AI, data and digital is hence a strategic imperative to unlock efficiency, consistency and speed.

Your skills & qualifications

To be successful in this role, you probably have:

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 3-5 years’ experience as a digital product manager in a global organisation, ideally in pharma or biotech
  • A proven track record of delivering value in a user-centric fashion using product thinking & DevOps practices in cross-functional software delivery teams
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical detail into executive-level communication and vice versa, ensuring clarity across all organisational levels
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and build consensus across diverse teams
  • A passion for building happy, high performing teams through an engaging and informal leadership style

You have a positive “can-do” attitude and thrive in a complex and dynamic environment. You are proactive, able to work independently and like to challenge status quo and develop new solutions to the challenges we meet. Moreover, to excel in this role, you will need empathetic listening and strong negotiation skills, plus the ability to identify pragmatic solutions that deliver near-term results without compromising quality.
