Medical doctor in M&TS Device & Digital
As a medical specialist your key responsibilities are to provide medical input in support of device development:
- Conduct Clinical Evaluations of medical devices, during which you leverage your clinical background and scientific understanding to evaluate the safety, performance, benefits, and potential risks of the device in scope
- Review and provide medical input to key documents related to design and development of medical devices
- Assess the need for clinical trials and establish clinical development programs
- Support and drive evidence generation for medical devices
In this position your work has a high degree of business impact. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk' global organization, with partnership companies and vendors, and with external experts.
The position includes limited traveling activity.
Qualifications
You hold a degree as Medical Doctor and a PhD or similar level of scientific qualification within relevant fields. You bring solid expertise with clinical development of medical devices, preferably including drug device combination products.

About the Department
Medical & Science Device & Digital has the medical responsibility for the growing portfolio of medical devices in Novo Nordisk. This includes drug delivery devices, such as pen-injectors, devices with connectivity features, injection needles, and new innovative devices. The responsibility of the department covers the entire device lifecycle from early research to post-approval life-cycle management, including evidence generation.
We are a highly cross-organizational function, with frequent tasks in the interface between drug and device development. Our interactions involve a multitude of internal stakeholders with diverse backgrounds including device R&D, Clinical Reporting, Risk managers, System engineers, Commercial, Clinical Operations, Marketing and Regulatory Affairs. Our key external stakeholders are the medical and scientific community, medical experts, and regulatory authorities. M&TS Device & Digital has two teams with tight collaboration and overlapping responsibilities. As a function, we value knowledge sharing, mutual support, and a strong team spirit.

Salary
For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 847,000.00 to 1,245,100.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on relevant market benchmarks.
