Your new role 

As Global Associate Pricing Director, you will pioneer deal development that break new ground in the consumer, private health insurance and direct-to-employer channels. This is not traditional pricing work – you will design and implement innovative healthcare models that expand access while driving sustainable business growth. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Developing deal development strategies with a sharp focus on consumer, private health insurance and direct-to-employer channels 
  • Implementing innovative healthcare models and payment structures that serve both consumers and private payers 
  • Leading direct negotiations with external partners to secure optimal market access and reimbursement outcomes 
  • Assessing consumer and private payer willingness-to-pay, translating insights into actionable upstream and downstream guidance 
  • Guiding cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing and commercial functions on pricing considerations and deal development opportunities 

 

Your new department 

In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential through successful commercial strategies and competitive launches downstream. 

Within this area, you will join a team at the forefront of market access innovation, working at the intersection of commercial strategy, health economics and payer engagement. Your work will directly influence how millions of patients access treatment, and you will operate with a high degree of independence while collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. You will represent Novo Nordisk in strategic discussions with private health insurance and employers, advocating for the value of our solutions at the highest levels. 

 

Your skills & qualifications 

We are looking for a strategic thinker with deep pricing expertise and the analytical business skills to drive change across complex stakeholder landscapes. You will bring with you: 

  • Master's degree in Life Sciences, Health Economics, Public Health, Business Administration or a related field 
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in market access, pricing or health economics within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry 
  • Proven track record developing and executing pricing strategies, including payer engagement and value proposition communication 
  • Hands-on experience implementing commercial and direct-to-consumer pricing strategies 
  • Deep understanding of financial implications related to pricing and reimbursement, enabling informed decision-making and effective resource allocation 
  • Strong negotiation capabilities with the ability to resolve payer issues, decrease barriers to entry and secure favorable outcomes 
  • Exceptional communication skills to present compelling arguments, influence stakeholders and drive effective decisions through constructive dialogue. 
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 5%)

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 931,700.00 to 1,369,700.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position. 

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience. 

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level,  location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
