The Position

Leveraging your vast expertise, you will play a crucial position, operating independently to lead strategic discussions and decision-making processes for key projects related to MASH and other Cardiometabolic diseases.
Your responsibilities will be focused on:
- Shaping the strategy by providing patient and medical perspectives
- Leading strategic projects within the product specific committees
- Collaborating closely with key stakeholders from various cross-functional teams
- Working cross-functionally to generate, interpret, and effectively communicate scientific data emerging on all phases of clinical trials of business development assets
- Collaborating and communicating with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and internal stakeholders, including regional teams, affiliates, marketing, patient access, development, and regulatory affairs
The Associate Global Medical Director will act as operational lead for key projects with responsibility for execution of our medical strategies and also represent the area in project teams and/or governance bodies. The Associate Director will support the Global Senior Director by taking on a proxy role in the team by providing guidance to the medical colleagues.
The position is based at our office in Søborg (Greater Copenhagen Area), Denmark. Worldwide travel is a requirement in alignment with our Circular for Zero policy.
Qualifications
To be a competitive candidate, you should have:
- A MD and/or PhD and minimum 5 years of clinical and/or pharmaceutical industry experience within Medical Affairs
- Experience with product commercialization and/or life-cycle management
- Professional focus in MASH, cardiometabolic disease and diagnosis is considered a plus
- Strong communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to lead and drive cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Strategic and critical thinking that allow you to anticipate opportunities and take initiative to address them effectively
- Fluency in spoken and written English is a requirement

About the Department
The MASH & Liver Diseases team is part of the Obesity and MASH CVP area in Global Medical Affairs, located in Søborg, near Copenhagen in Denmark. Our department is focused on building and executing medical strategies for MASH. We aim to advance the field of MASH/MASLD care through scientific exchange and dialogue with the external medical community. We are also working close with the commercial organization on with product launches and life-cycle management including new indications/label extensions. In addition, the team is also supporting several early MASH & ALD projects in early clinical development.
