The position
You will become a key member of a global team of evidence-strategy specialists from different countries and backgrounds. You will act as a strategic partner to cross-functional Global Project Teams by driving the development of cross-functional evidence strategies for diabetes, obesity, and other serious chronic diseases.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Initiate and drive the development of cross-functional evidence strategies within assigned therapy areas and their periodic updates in collaboration with various functions, like Clinical Drug Development, Market Access, Data Science, Public Affairs etc.
- Drive the implementation of the Global Integrated Evidence Strategy (IES) framework in collaboration with internal HQ stakeholders and in alignment with Operations, Regions, and Affiliates
- Identify opportunities for further development and improvement of the IES process and align evidence strategies with other relevant functional strategies (e.g., communication strategy, medical strategy, commercial strategies)
- Proactively identify and lead opportunities for innovation and common projects within your own and adjacent business areas
In this role, you will be based in Copenhagen and report to the Head of Integrated Evidence Strategy within Global Medical Affairs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position should have:
- A master’s degree in a relevant field such as medicine, public health, pharmaceutical sciences, drug development, market access, health economics or outcomes research. Formal project management training is preferred.
- Extensive experience in driving evidence strategies in functions such as market access, medical affairs or commercial functions
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- Direct experience with leading evidence strategies, preferably in a cross-functional setting (payer evidence planning, medical affairs evidence planning, etc), will be considered as an advantage.
- Deep understanding of drug development process and commercialization, including evidence needs for value access and patient outcome
- Medical Affairs/ Health Economics/Outcomes Research /Research &Development business value chain understanding
- Broad experience with planning and managing projects of medium- and high-complexity
- Fluency in written and spoken English

You have a personal drive and are enthusiastic, energetic, confident, and able to work on multiple tasks to meet personal and team goals, you have experience in collaborating successfully with many different stakeholders across functions and at different organisational levels, including senior-level management with strong verbal and written communication skills and capability to facilitate strategy development processes and galvanize key stakeholders.

The Integrated Evidence Strategy department is part if the Global Medical Affairs area in the Novo Nordisk HQ (Denmark). The department is responsible for driving the development of cross-functional evidence strategies within a variety of therapy areas and transforming the way evidence is planned and used across the value chain.
