Clinical Adjudication Management

Søborg, Denmark

Are you a people leader who enjoys developing talent, creating direction and helping teams succeed together? Do you want to work where patient safety and clinical trials meet — in a role that requires collaboration across functions and with external partners?

If yes, this is a unique opportunity to join Clinical Adjudication Management (CAM) at Novo Nordisk as a people manager.

Your new role

You will report to the Head of Safety Operations Advisers & Clinical Adjudication Management and be responsible for the management, performance and development of +10 employees in one of two Clinical Adjudication teams.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Motivating and supporting your employees through sparring on decision-making and ongoing prioritisation in a dynamic environment.
  • Contribute to setting direction for the team and to cross-department initiatives, alignment and projects.
  • Building strong collaborations — both internally and externally — to ensure alignment across the organisation.
  • Co-own and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Resource management, including planning, allocation, forecasting.
  • Contribute actively to leadership team.

Your new department

CAM is a department of ~30 highly engaged professionals, leads and people managers with diverse academic backgrounds. We operate in a fast-paced setting supporting clinical trials primarily in late-stage clinical development, and we facilitate and ensure oversight of the clinical adjudication process.

Clinical adjudication is an independent external review where medical specialists assess relevant clinical events against pre-defined criteria, generating high-quality data for clinical trials. The process is driven by CAM in close collaboration with internal stakeholders across the value chain and with external clinical research organisations (CROs).

CAM is part of Safety Operations (+400 employees) within Global Patient Safety (+650 employees). We value an informal office culture where humour and good relationships matter — because it supports collaboration, open dialogue and strong teamwork.

Your skills & qualifications

To thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

  • A relevant master’s degree in health or natural sciences (e.g., MD, DVM, MSc Pharm or equivalent).
  • Preferably people management experience from the pharmaceutical industry.
  • A solid understanding of drug development and the pharmaceutical value chain, including experience working with clinical trials.
  • Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including experience collaborating with CROs and across departments.
  • A strong focus on ongoing dialogue with employees to drive performance, engagement and development (both individually and as a team).
  • Strong coaching skills to lead and develop professionals and specialists.
  • A positive and pragmatic approach to challenges.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
