Advanced Analytics and AI Director (Maternity Cover)
Søborg, Capital Region of Denmark, DK
Are you passionate about transforming organisations through data and advanced analytics? Do you want to lead programme management and product ownership across a high-impact AI and analytics portfolio that shapes commercial strategy for millions of patients? This is your chance to turn complex data into decisive action – and to do it at a company where AI is a bold bet on our future, not a side project.
Your new role
As our Advanced Analytics and AI Director (Maternity Cover), you will lead programme management and product ownership for some of our most strategically important AI and analytics initiatives. You will be the decisive bridge between business ambition and technical delivery – translating commercial questions into data solutions and turning advanced capabilities into measurable impact across the commercial organisation.
In this 12-month fixed-term role, your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as Product Owner and Engagement Manager for the AI and analytics project pipeline – owning backlog, prioritisation, sprint planning and delivery in close partnership with technical teams across Enterprise IT and external partners
- Owning the analytics strategy and roadmap, ensuring it remains a living framework that connects stakeholder ambitions to delivery reality
- Building strong relationships across Product & Portfolio Strategy and the wider organisation, engaging business partners early so solutions are designed for adoption from day one
- Guiding and mentoring a virtual team of data scientists, engineers and analytics partners – setting direction, removing blockers and keeping the team anchored in the business problem, not the model
- Equipping leaders and teams with next-generation skills, frameworks and tools that make data-driven decision-making the default
- Contributing to portfolio-level governance of our commercial AI projects, ensuring transparency, compliance and responsible deployment as we scale
Your new department
In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential through successful commercial strategies and competitive launches downstream.
Within this, you will join Data, Analytics & AI Strategy – a versatile team of data and AI strategists, business analysts and product owners sitting inside the Strategic Insights& area. Our purpose is to give the commercial organisation a decisive advantage through data and intelligence, transforming complex data assets into clear decisions, scalable AI capabilities and measurable business impact. Based in Denmark, you will play a central role in shaping how advanced analytics and AI are embedded into our commercial decision-making.
Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a strategic, analytical and collaborative leader who thrives at the intersection of business, data and technology. To succeed in this role, you bring:
- 10+ years of experience in data/AI programme management within the pharmaceutical or consumer-facing industry, with a track record of delivering data and analytics solutions; experience leading digital enablement within Product & Portfolio Strategy is a plus
- A Master's degree in Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance or a related field, including demonstrated expertise in data and AI
- People leadership experience managing global delivery teams, combined with product or business ownership experience including backlog management and close partnering with technical teams
- Hands-on experience with 1st and 2nd party data sources (e.g. IQVIA, CRM, consumer surveys) and working knowledge of HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA and regulated-industry data governance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to lead and influence across functions including brand, IT, data and legal
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to frame technical decisions for senior business audiences
