Your new role

Data Platforms & Integrations is responsible for building a unified data foundation, enabling fast access to data and supporting AI and scientific advancement across our R&D value chain. 

 

Your key responsibilities include the following: 

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and maintain data pipelines and analytics solutions 
  • Design and build a foundational platform for a modern data lake architecture, optimising it for scalability, flexibility, and performance 
  • Develop automated tests to ensure data accuracy and quality 
  • Continuously improve the platform to boost developer productivity and act as an internal expert and sparring partner on how the organisation gets the most out of Databricks
  • Leverage your expertise in cloud development to design and implement innovative digital solutions focused on delivering business insights and patient care in real time

You will be part of Data Platforms & Integrations, which is located in Søborg, Denmark, and counting around 15 colleagues in Denmark, UK and India. With a focus on collaboration and a culture of learning, this team will challenge you to push boundaries, think critically, and bring your unique perspective to the table. Surrounded by talented peers and a supportive work environment, you'll have the opportunity to grow and make a meaningful impact, both on the projects you work on and the patients we serve. 

 

Your skills & qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with an educational background in Computer Science and Software Development, as well as experience in some of the following areas: 

 

  • Strong proficiency in Python programming 
  • Extensive experience with Databricks on Azure or AWS 
  • Experience in using Spark, including Spark SQL and understanding of how to optimize Spark performance 
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices — CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing 
  • Exposure to data mesh or domain-oriented data architecture 
  • Experience working with OMOP or other clinical data standards 
  • Working in pharma domain or other regulated area is considered an advantage
