The position
As a Manager for one of the Pharmacovigilance (PV) Technology departments, you will report to the Senior Director of Safety Operations Office & Technology and become a member of the Safety Operations (SO) management team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Day-to-day people management, coaching, and development of around 12-15 System Professionals/Specialists/Submission responsible placed in DK and India
- Empowering team members to take ownership of their responsibilities and engage group members to adopt best practices and improved ways of working
- Playing an active role in setting direction and priorities for the team supporting the daily work and implementing the requirements from the authorities and various projects in an optimal manner
- Partnering and proactively seeking interaction with stakeholders (e.g., across Global Patient Safety, affiliates and IT system management)
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about people leadership and IT systems supporting the pharmacovigilance requirements. The ideal candidate would thrive in a fast-paced environment and be energized by working with people and focused on continuous improvement. You will establish close partnership and interaction with other functional areas within Global Patient Safety and across Novo Nordisk.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, we expect you to have:
- An academic in life sciences and at least 2 years of experience in people management and/or managing larger projects, preferably in a GxP regulated environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in drug safety pharmacovigilance from the pharmaceutical industry, combined with a technical mindset.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and swiftly adjust strategies and plans in response to uncertainties
- Strong proficiency in stakeholder management, with the ability to collaborate and negotiate with diverse partners at all levels of the organization
- Experience in leading from a distance is considered an advantage
- Written and verbal communication skills in English

About the department
The Safety Operations PV Technology area in Denmark consists of two PV Technology departments that work closely together. These departments ensure the maintenance and perform continuous improvement, and development of the Global Safety database. The PV Technology I department focuses on maintaining, developing, and continuously improving the NN Global Safety database, including updating business configurations and maintaining system gateways. The team is also involved in global improvement projects and supports the digital transformation of relevant activities and systems. Additionally, the team is responsible for submitting individual case safety reports (ICSRs) in accordance with regulatory requirements.
The team operates in a dynamic environment, supporting the entire development portfolio, in close collaboration with various stakeholders across Novo Nordisk, including affiliates worldwide. The SO PV Technology departments are part of the Safety Operations Office & PV Technology area. Safety Operations is one of the functional areas in Global Patient Safety and is situated in Søborg, Denmark.
