About the role
We are looking for a Senior Tax Manager LATAM to lead the tax strategy agenda across Latin America, acting as a trusted business partner to senior stakeholders and driving strategic decision-making in a complex and dynamic environment.
This role is based in Brazil, reflecting the complexity of the local tax landscape and the close interaction with the manufacturing site. The position has end-to-end responsibility for LATAM tax, except for tax compliance activities in Brazil that are managed by a separate role, allowing this position to focus on leadership, strategy, and regional impact.
You will lead a diverse, multicultural team with 4 direct and 3 indirect reports across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and Panama, requiring strong virtual leadership and communication skills.
Key responsibilities
- Own and drive the tax strategy (planning) for all Latin America entities, including Brazil, ensuring alignment with business priorities and corporate tax frameworks.
- Own and drive the tax operations (compliance) for all Latin America entities, except for the Brazilian ones.
- Act as the main regional tax business partner, supporting strategic projects, investments, restructurings, and key business decisions across LATAM.
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional tax team, fostering collaboration, capability building, and a strong business partnering mindset.
- Manage and support tax audits, disputes, and tax controversy cases across the region, working closely with Finance Directors, auditors and external advisors.
- Proactively identify tax optimization and savings opportunities (e.g., VAT, ETR, R&D, ESG-related initiatives) while ensuring compliance and risk awareness.
- Represent LATAM in relevant regional and global tax forums, collaborating closely with Corporate Tax and other CoEs.
- Drive offshoring, standardization, digitalization, and outsourcing initiatives within the LATAM tax agenda.

You'll work closely with Corporate Tax teams in headquarters, local finance directors across Latin America, and business leaders to ensure tax is positioned as a value-creating function. Your role will require strong cross-border collaboration, managing both direct reports and virtual teams distributed across multiple countries and time zones.
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Law, Economics, Business or similar, with a broad, generalist tax profile.
- 10+ years of experience in tax, covering direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing, customs, controversy, and risk management.
- Experience in large multinational companies and/or top-tier consulting firms (Big 4 background is a strong advantage).
- Strong experience working cross-border, across different cultures and time zones.
- Fluent English is required; Spanish is a strong plus, with openness to further develop it if needed.
