Position Description
As the LATAM Procurement Director, you will define the strategy and lead the LATAM procurement function with clarity and vision, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Drive Category Management and Business Partnering Focus. Foster a structured approach to category management that aligns with market trends, empowering our business units with the best solutions, suppliers, and optimised return on investment.
- Build Strong Supplier Relationships. Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with suppliers to enhance innovation and establish Novo Nordisk as the customer of choice.
- Drive continuous process improvements to provide agility in procurement operations
- Uphold compliance and business ethics in all procurement activities to maintain Novo Nordisk’s commitment to ethics and compliance
- Engage with cross-functional teams and global colleagues to share insights and foster synergies within the organisation. This role will involve direct reports as well as dotted line reports, creating a dynamic environment for leadership and collaborative success.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications:
- Extensive experience in procurement, including indirect sourcing, category management, and procure-to-pay processes and technology. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
- Candidates must have proven experience in leading procurement teams at a regional level within Latin America. Demonstrated experience with organisational design and development is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
- Strong stakeholder management and change management capabilities.
- Business-level proficiency in English is required; Spanish and/or Portuguese are a plus.
