Your new role
As a Pharmacovigilance Manager, your leadership will shape how we ensure patient safety across our expanding portfolio and you'll lead safety operations in Brazil, representing Novo Nordisk to health authorities while fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement. Some of your responsibilities will include:

Act as Local PV Responsible to Brazilian Health Authorities, being available 24 hours for critical health authority contact and representing Novo Nordisk in all pharmacovigilance matters.

Manage and develop a team of 3 direct reports, fostering their growth while building a high-performing pharmacovigilance department.

Ensure the Pharmacovigilance Management System for Brazil is well established, ensuring full compliance with both Novo Nordisk global requirements and local health legislation.

Serve as technical and strategic business partner for pharmacovigilance and other key stakeholders.

Monitor key performance indicators, conduct regular compliance assessments and implement measures to address any identified gaps.

Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness of the pharmacovigilance unit, ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulatory requirements

Provide pharmacovigilance oversight of external partners.

Develop and implement improvement strategies to streamline processes, optimize workflow, and enhance the overall quality and compliance of pharmacovigilance activities.

Your skills and qualifications
We are looking for an experienced pharmacovigilance professional who possesses:

University degree in pharmaceutical sciences, medical science or related field.

Previous experience with pharmacovigilance and the ability to manage complex safety operations.

Previous supervisory or management experience, with demonstrated ability to develop and lead teams.

Advanced knowledge of Brazilian health regulations and pharmacovigilance requirements, ensuring compliance while driving continuous improvement.

Proficiency in both written and verbal English to collaborate effectively with global teams.

Strong strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to detect business opportunities and adapt quickly to new situations.

Knowledge in therapeutic areas and/or biotech products relevant to Novo Nordisk.

Experience with regulatory intelligence activities and pharmaceutical registration databases is a plus.

Advanced degrees such as PhD, MBA, MD or MSc are differentials.
