The Position
As a Business Finance Director at Novo Nordisk, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial excellence and strategic decision-making within the Brazil affiliate. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance & Operations, you will serve as a key business partner, leveraging data-driven insights and financial expertise to create value and ensure compliance across the organization. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead financial planning processes, including Anchor Budget (AB) and Rolling Estimates (RE), ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational efficiency.
- Provide comprehensive financial insights to all departments, fostering a data-driven decision-making culture and supporting resource allocation toward growth priorities.
- Monitor and manage costs and market performance through rigorous analysis, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with the Finance & Operations Leadership Team (FOLT) to shape policies, strategies, and implement the digital finance agenda.
- Drive engagement and develop talent within Finance & Operations, promoting a high-performance culture and ensuring robust succession planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience in Business Finance (FP&A) with proven ability to collaborate effectively across business functions.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with a strong track record of influencing and managing teams.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience driving business transformation, it will be considered as an asset background within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills to partner and engage with local and global management effectively.
- Ability to foster engagement, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
About the Department
You will join the Finance and Operations department of the Brazil affiliate, supporting therapeutic areas in business transformation, including diabetes, obesity, haemophilia, and growth disorders. The department encompasses Finance, IT, and Supply Chain, closely collaborating for system integrations and logistical optimisation. Our team is dynamic and committed to driving success and innovation in our operations, ensuring efficient financial management, smooth IT processes, and effective supply chain solutions.
