Financial Controlling Supervisor - Maternity Cover

As Financial Controlling Supervisor on a fixed-term maternity cover, you will help keep Trade Receivables under control, monitor customer payments and you will supervise the accounting function to ensure and contribute to strong financial discipline across Novo Nordisk Italy.

 

Your new role

This role is focused on monitoring Trade Receivables, supporting receivables follow-up and helping prevent credit risk through accurate customer balance analysis. You will build a strong understanding of Novo Nordisk customers, including public healthcare structures and private customers, to support effective follow-up actions and maintain financial control in line with internal standards and applicable requirements.

Day-to-day, your tasks will include:

  • Monitoring Trade Receivable balances and following up on overdue or open customer items
  • Analysing customer balances, payment trends and merit ratings to identify potential credit risks
  • Building in-depth knowledge of customers to support effective and compliant receivables follow-up
  • Managing contact with public healthcare structures and private customers to facilitate timely settlement of customer balances
  • Coordinating with the GBS team and internal Finance colleagues to resolve receivable-related issues
  • Preparing updates and reports on receivables status, credit exposure, customer balances and key risks
  • Supporting process improvements in receivables monitoring, customer follow-up and credit risk prevention activities
  • Suppling electronic invoicing management
  • Providing insights and data to external and internal auditors
  • Managing Statutory Financial Statements and Group Reporting

You will join our Finance & Operations team in the Rome affiliate office, reporting directly to the Senior Manager Accounting Collections & Taxes. This role offers the opportunity to step into a collaborative affiliate environment, where finance plays an important part in supporting sound decisions and smooth day-to-day operations.

 

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for someone with solid accounting experience and a strong focus on receivables, credit collection and customer management. You are structured, persistent and diplomatic, with the ability to follow up on complex topics while maintaining strong working relationships.

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have:

  • A university degree in Economics, Business Administration or another relevant field
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting, credit collection, Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role, ideally in a multinational company
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable processes, customer balance monitoring and credit risk prevention
  • Experience interacting with public or private customers, healthcare structures, private customers  or similar external stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of accounting controls, reporting processes and financial documentation
  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in Italian and English
  • Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry is considered an advantage

Salary

For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 43,940.00 to 68,110.00 EUR, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
